About This Opportunity

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced High School Math Tutor to provide one-on-one, in-home tutoring services to students in Chattanooga, Ooltewah, Harrison, Hixson, and surrounding areas. What You'll Do

As an integral member of the arenaflex tutoring team, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering Personalized Math Instruction: Provide one-on-one, in-home tutoring sessions tailored to each student's unique learning style, strengths, and areas for improvement. You will teach high school-level mathematics including but not limited to Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus.
• Creating Effective Lesson Plans: Develop comprehensive lesson plans for each session that align with the student's curriculum, academic goals, and learning objectives. Your preparation is key to ensuring productive and engaging tutoring sessions.
• Homework Assistance and Test Preparation: Help students complete homework assignments, review class materials, and prepare for exams. You will teach effective study strategies, problem-solving techniques, and test-taking skills that students can apply throughout their academic careers.
• Tracking Progress and Providing Feedback: Document student progress, session outcomes, and areas for continued focus. Provide detailed session reports to our office and families within 24 hours of each tutoring session to ensure transparent communication and continuous improvement.
• Adapting to Individual Learning Styles: Recognize and accommodate different learning styles, personalities, and academic challenges. Every student is unique, and your ability to adapt your teaching methods will be crucial to their success.
• Maintaining Professional Communication: Professionally address client concerns, questions, and requests. Follow up with the office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours or when additional support may be needed.
• Balancing Multiple Students: Effectively manage your tutoring schedule, ensuring that each assigned student receives adequate time and attention to meet their academic goals.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to explain complex mathematical concepts in simple, understandable terms.
• Interpersonal Skills: A warm, patient, and encouraging personality that resonates with students of varying ages and abilities. You should enjoy motivating and inspiring young learners.
• Organizational Skills: Strong administrative abilities, including the capacity to prepare lesson plans, maintain records, and submit session reports in a timely manner.
• Technical Proficiency: Basic computer and data entry skills. Access to a reliable computer, internet connection, and smartphone is required for scheduling, reporting, and communication purposes.
• Reliable Transportation: A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current car insurance are essential, as this position involves traveling to students' homes in the Chattanooga metropolitan area.
