What You'll Do

As a key member of our pre-production team, you will be responsible for managing artwork assets throughout the production pipeline. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will ensure that all creative materials flow smoothly from concept to completion. Here's what you can expect:

Artwork Collection & Management


  • Collect all artwork assets including character models, props, and set designs for shipments to production facilities

  • Accurately label, categorize, and organize all incoming artwork using our standardized systems

  • Create comprehensive final model packs for efficient cargo and asset deployment

  • Maintain organized asset libraries and ensure all documents are properly uploaded to our digital asset management systems

  • Prepare and organize files for background painters and color designers, ensuring all specifications are clearly documented

Quality Assurance & Standards


  • Ensure all artwork files adhere to standardized formats, including proper naming conventions

  • Perform quality control checks for line quality in digital artwork

  • Review all assets for completeness and accuracy before passing them to the next production stage

  • Identify and flag any issues or inconsistencies in artwork that may impact production timelines

Communication & Collaboration


  • Take detailed notes during assigned meetings, conference calls with vendors, and animation launches

  • Serve as a liaison between the production team and external vendors

  • Communicate any delays or concerns to the production manager or supervisor immediately

  • Provide necessary reference materials to artists as requested

  • Obtain Director's approval on artwork at designated milestones

Process Improvement & Innovation


  • Identify opportunities for streamlining production pipelines and workflow efficiencies

  • Develop ideas for asset re-use and contribute to process improvement initiatives

  • Flag complexity issues that may impact production timelines or quality

  • Make recommendations for enhancing our overall production workflow

Administrative & Team Support


  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of design lists and production documentation

  • Help prepare materials for awards submissions when required

  • Update and maintain production art forums and internal tracking systems

  • Support team morale by assisting with organized team events and activities

  • Perform archival procedures for artwork once production is complete

  • Background in managing digital assets or creative documentation

Technical Skills & Software Proficiency

To succeed in this role, you should be comfortable with the following tools and technologies:


  • Operating Systems: Mac and/or Windows proficient

  • Industry Software: Final Draft 9.0, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator

  • Animation Tools: ToonBoom Storyboard Pro (preferred but not required)

  • Microsoft Suite: Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Digital Platforms: Experience with digital asset management systems and cloud-based collaboration tools
