- *Key Responsibilities**
As a Ramp Agent, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of baggage, cargo, and mail to and from aircraft. Your daily tasks will include:
- Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, while ensuring timely connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions.
- Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather.
- Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion.
- Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination.
- *Work Environment and Physical Demands**
As a Ramp Agent, you'll work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, and snow. Your work tasks will be physical, requiring you to bend, lift, stand, and walk for extended periods. You'll be responsible for loading and stacking bags weighing up to 50-70 pounds, and you'll need to be able to work in a team environment with a focus on safety-conscious behaviors.
- *Scheduling and Shifts**
Scheduling is based on operational needs, and shifts range from early morning to overnight. Each station is different based on its individual flight schedule, and you'll work between 20 and 40 hours per week based on your seniority.

To be successful as a Ramp Agent, you'll need to:
- Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

- Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in English.

- Must wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include, but not limited to: hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear (bump cap or hard hat), and high-visibility safety apparel subject to an approved accommodation, such as alternate PPE.
