Experienced Risk Analyst & Data Scientist – Business Intelligence & Risk Management (Remote/Hybrid)

In this critical role, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and business intelligence to design and implement sophisticated risk management solutions that protect our customers and drive business growth. This is a remote position available to candidates anywhere in the United States, offering the flexibility to work from home while collaborating with talented teams across the organization.

What You'll Do

As a Risk Analyst & Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our risk management strategies and protecting the organization against emerging threats. Your responsibilities will span multiple domains, requiring you to blend technical expertise with business acumen to deliver actionable insights.

• Risk Strategy Development: Design and execute comprehensive business procedures and risk management solutions using both commercial and consumer data. You will develop frameworks that identify, assess, and mitigate risks while supporting our strategic business objectives.


• Advanced Data Analysis: Drive the investigation and analysis of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources. Utilize statistical, financial, AI, and business intelligence techniques to uncover patterns, predict trends, and generate insights that inform critical business decisions.


• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with technology teams and other business units to integrate and implement risk management policies and strategies. You will serve as a bridge between technical, analytical, and non-technical stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.


• Data Source Innovation: Identify and evaluate new data sources—both supervised and unsupervised—that could add incremental value to arenaflex's products and services. Continuously explore innovative approaches to enhance our risk modeling capabilities.


• Best Practice Integration: Promote the use of industry and internal best practices while incorporating regulatory feedback to drive continuous improvement in risk management strategies and documentation.


• Business Intelligence: Create compelling reports and visualizations that translate complex data into understandable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a candidate who thrives in a data-driven environment and is passionate about using analytical insights to solve complex business challenges. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical skills with excellent communication abilities and a proven track record of delivering results.

Essential Qualifications

• Educational Background: Graduate degree (Master's or higher) in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Business Administration, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative field.


• Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in risk analysis and data analysis to drive business strategy.

Required Technical Skills (1+ Year Experience in Each)

• Interpreting complex analyses for both technical and non-technical audiences, translating data findings into actionable business recommendations.


• Collaborating effectively with technical, analytical, business, and non-technical teams across multiple functional areas.


• Process improvement and automation using optimization algorithms and models to drive transformative initiatives.


• SQL query development including performance tuning, stored procedure development, and complex query construction.


• Database concepts and data manipulation languages, including SQL and SAS.


• Organizing and processing qualitative and quantitative data to draw meaningful conclusions and support decision-making.


• Requirements gathering, forecasting, and automation methodologies.


• Proficiency in business intelligence and analytics tools including Cognos, ETL tools (such as SSIS), Python, R, Tableau, Teradata, MS Excel for data reporting and modeling, Oracle, and VBA.
