Position Overview

We are looking for a strategic Marketing Expert to fill a key position within our organization. This individual will be responsible for contributing to planned sales, gross margin, and market share growth within assigned product categories. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capability to translate data insights into actionable marketing strategies.

As a Senior Data Analyst – Quality Consultant at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in driving our marketing initiatives forward while maintaining our commitment to quality and excellence. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to develop and execute category plans that align with our overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

As an integral part of the arenaflex marketing team, you will be responsible for:


  • Driving Sales and Margin Performance: Contribute directly to sales and margin objectives within your assigned product categories, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and profitability targets.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze relevant data and integrate findings and recommendations into Category Plans, including optimal SKU mix, loyalty program strategies, and promotional project initiatives for marketing programs.
  • Strategic Execution: Drive the strategic execution of daily plan activities, including off-rack marketing plans, tracking promotional periods, and performing present analysis to make corrective actions when necessary.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with an internal team of arenaflex experts in Inventory, Pricing, Promotion, Finance, Store Brands, Store Design, Advertising, and Store Operations to ensure seamless execution of marketing strategies.
  • Sales and Inventory Analysis: Analyze sales records and inventory levels of current stock to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Develop and maintain a strong understanding of current competitive landscape; actively seek out new competitive opportunities and make strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay up to date with changes in the marketplace, including emerging trends, consumer behaviors, and industry developments.
  • Market Research: Research customer product preferences, supplier costs, and the competitive environment to inform strategic decision-making.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:


  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Retail Mathematics: Working knowledge of retail math concepts and demonstrated application in real-world scenarios. You should be comfortable with margin calculations, inventory turn analysis, and promotional ROI measurement.
  • Technical Proficiency: Technical expertise in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Access or other database systems is a plus.
  • Travel Availability: Willingness to travel 5-10% of the time as required for team meetings, client consultations, and strategic planning sessions.
