  • *Responsibilities**

As a Trip Assignment Specialist, you'll be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Assigning trips to dispatchers in the Health-E Rides system, ensuring that approximately 700-900 trips are coordinated per night
  • Building dispatchers' daily schedules, taking into account breaks and lunches to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Determining which dispatchers are eligible for certain trips based on the language spoken by the member, promoting cultural sensitivity and inclusivity
  • Stacking trips to contracted Care Partners, streamlining our logistics and ensuring efficient service delivery
  • Answering inbound calls from members during evening hours, providing empathetic and informative support
  • Coordinating evening trips as they come in, ensuring timely and safe transportation for our members
  • Assisting with Care Partner-related administrative tasks, such as payment processing, to maintain accurate records and ensure seamless communication
  • Supporting Level 1 administrative tickets in Zendesk, resolving issues efficiently and effectively
  • *Requirements**

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Previous experience in dispatching and coordinating transportation, with a strong understanding of logistics and scheduling
  • Healthcare experience is preferred, but not required
  • Consistent reliability and the ability to work evening shifts (Monday night to Friday night, 11:30pm to 8am PT)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with dispatchers, Care Partners, and members
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve issues efficiently
  • Proficiency in using technology, including the Health-E Rides system and Zendesk
  • *Preferred Qualifications**

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Experience working in a customer-facing role, with a strong focus on customer service and satisfaction
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems and logistics software
  • Certification in a related field, such as medical transportation or customer service
