As an Usher at arenaflex, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring that they are well-informed and comfortable throughout their visit. - *Key Responsibilities**
- Meet and greet visitors to the New Amsterdam Theater, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere
- Guide and escort visitors to their seats and other areas within the theater, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience
- Distribute programs and other materials to guests, including inserting materials into programs
- Conduct regular checks of the chosen area for tidiness and cleanliness
- Clear the scenes to identify potential security issues and lost and found items
- Familiarize yourself with and adhere to house rules and policies
- Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling changes and adaptability to accommodate varying tasks and responsibilities
- Be available to work on short notice for special events and occasions
- Attend pre-show Usher meetings and other training sessions as required by the team
- Possess in-depth knowledge of the New Amsterdam Theater and show schedules, including the exit and entry procedures for all areas within the theater
- *Essential Qualifications**
- At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests from diverse backgrounds
- High energy levels and a passion for providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early shows, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Shifts are 4.5 hours long, with a guarantee of at least six full-scale shifts per week
