Core HR Leadership

  • Serve as the primary HR authority for Markarian Law Group.
  • Advise ownership and operations on all employee relations matters.
  • Maintain full compliance with California, federal, and applicable employment laws.
  • Lead development, implementation, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.


Hiring & Onboarding

  • Manage full cycle recruiting for all departments.
  • Coordinate virtual and domestic hiring.
  • Oversee onboarding, orientation, and training framework.
  • Ensure all new hires are compliant with documentation and policy acknowledgments.


Employee Relations & Investigations

  • Lead all employee complaints, investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Provide documentation, findings, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Support lawful, defensible disciplinary actions and terminations.


Performance & Development

  • Build and oversee performance management systems including reviews, PIPs, and corrective actions.
  • Partner with leadership on coaching, leadership training, and staff development.
  • Support culture stability, accountability, and morale.


Payroll, Benefits, and Compliance

  • Oversee payroll processes in coordination with operations.
  • Manage benefits enrollment, renewals, and employee communication.
  • Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, leave laws, and recordkeeping.

Virtual Workforce & Global Contractors

  • Support hiring, classification, onboarding, and performance management of virtual assistants and global contractors.
  • Ensure proper role classification and contractor compliance procedures.
  • Help establish virtual accountability systems.


HR Reporting & Strategy

  • Generate HR reports and KPI updates.
  • Track turnover, headcount, attendance, compliance, and training progress.
  • Participate in strategic planning and organizational growth initiatives.
