Position Overview

We are currently seeking a motivated and analytical individual to join our Product Analytics team as an entry-level Data Scientist. In this role, you will conduct quantitative research, analyze complex datasets, and deliver data-driven recommendations that guide product development and business strategy. Key Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist – Product Analytics professional at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:


  • Conducting comprehensive statistical analysis to inform business or product decisions, including cost-benefit analysis, investment evaluations, forecasting, and impact assessments that guide strategic initiatives across the organization.

  • Delivering compelling presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple tiers of stakeholders, developing visual representations of quantitative data that facilitate understanding and drive decision-making among executive leadership, product managers, and engineering teams.

  • Developing and automating reports and iteratively building and prototyping dashboards to provide insights at scale, solving for analytical needs while ensuring reproducibility and scalability of analytical solutions.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders including engineering, product management, marketing, and finance teams to understand their business needs, formulate complete assessments that include data gathering, analysis, ongoing scaled deliverables, and presentations.

  • Formulating and answering product questions by extracting data from large datasets using SQL and applying statistical methods to derive meaningful insights that address specific business challenges.

  • Translating research findings into actionable business recommendations that help arenaflex leadership make informed decisions about product improvements, feature development, and strategic investments.

  • Identifying key trends and patterns in user behavior, product performance, and market dynamics that present opportunities for innovation and improvement across arenaflex's product portfolio.

  • Contributing to a culture of data-driven decision making by advocating for the use of quantitative evidence in all aspects of product development and business strategy.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:


  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience with statistical packages and programming languages such as R, SAS, Stata, MATLAB, or Python.

  • Strong experience articulating product questions, pulling data from datasets using SQL, and applying statistical methods to derive actionable answers.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to approach challenges with creativity and logical reasoning.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and persuasively.

  • Currently authorized to work in the United States and able to work full-time for the duration of the internship or employment period.

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program within the United States and available to work full-time for 12 weeks outside of university term time (for internship positions).

  • Currently in your penultimate academic year or planning to return to your degree program after completion of the position.

  • Demonstrated interest and capability to work with data, metrics, analysis, and trends, with a solid understanding of measurement techniques, statistical analysis, and data visualization.

Compensation and Benefits

arenaflex is committed to offering competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits to our employees. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000-$106,000, depending on factors such as specific role, level, location, and relevant experience. Your individual pay will be determined by office location and additional factors, including role-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
