Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Remote Call Center Representative based in Orlando, Florida, to support our patient enrollment and pharmacy data operations. In this position, you will be responsible for processing new patient enrollments, handling inbound and outbound communications, resolving third-party rejections, and entering prescription information into our systems with precision and efficiency. You will work under direct supervision and adhere to all company policies, state regulations, and HIPAA guidelines to ensure the highest standards of patient care and data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
As a valued member of the arenaflex healthcare team, your responsibilities will include:
- Patient Enrollment & Data Entry: Process new patient enrollments by accurately entering information into our pharmacy management systems according to established procedures and guidelines. Ensure all data is entered correctly to facilitate seamless patient care.
- Prescription Processing: Handle patient medication requests within HIPAA compliance, including entering refill orders for processing. Investigate and resolve any missing prescription information and interpret clinical abbreviations (SIG codes) accurately.
- Exception Resolution: Resolve all data entry-related exceptions promptly and efficiently, ensuring minimal delays in patient care and prescription fulfillment.
- Patient Communication: Manage inbound calls, emails, and in-person visits from patients, providing exceptional customer service. Make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed to clarify information or follow up on requests.
- Third-Party Rejection Resolution: Assess, collect information, and process prescriptions for third-party rejections. Resubmit claims according to specific plan requirements and coordinate with insurance providers to obtain override approvals or resolve billing issues.
- Provider Communication: Place telephone calls to insurance providers, physicians, and other healthcare stakeholders to obtain necessary information, gain override approvals, or resolve complex issues related to prescriptions and billing.
- Pharmacy Support: Provide assistance to pharmacists both in-office and at other locations. Identify and escalate issues to senior-level staff as appropriate to ensure timely resolution and optimal patient outcomes.
- Compliance & Training: Obtain an active technician license or certification within the first 90 days of employment and maintain active licensure or certification throughout employment. Adhere to all company policies, state regulations, and federal guidelines.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all patient interactions, resolutions, and data entries. Ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards and supports quality assurance initiatives.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with computer operations, including the ability to start/shut down computers, use mouse navigation, open/close programs, switch between applications, save files, print documents, and access information online.
- Web Navigation: Basic web browser skills, including opening browsers, typing URLs, using search engines, bookmarking sites, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and completing online forms.
- Keyboard Skills: Intermediate-level keyboarding abilities with a minimum typing speed of 25 WPM, including typing from memory and organizing documents effectively.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
- Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Licensure: Must obtain an active pharmacy technician license or certification within the first 90 days of employment and maintain it throughout the duration of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment.
- One to two years of pharmacy technician experience with state certification/registration through the State Board of Pharmacy or a nationally recognized certification organization.
- Proven experience providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients, including meeting quality service standards and measuring customer satisfaction.
- Advanced keyboarding skills with a minimum typing speed of 35 WPM, including typing from memory and efficiently organizing documents.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly preferred, as we serve a diverse patient population.
- Experience working with pharmacy management systems and electronic health records.
- Knowledge of insurance billing, claims processing, and pharmacy terminology.
