Job Summary

We're looking for a reliable and customer-focused Overnight Customer Service Representative to perform a variety of tasks, including approvals of consumer loans, making payment arrangements, and helping customers with any questions. As an intermediary between potential clients and our financial institution, you'll play a critical role in helping qualified applicants obtain loans in a timely manner and protecting our organization's credibility.

Responsibilities and Duties

As an Overnight Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:


  • Make outbound and receive inbound calls to provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer inquiries.

  • Consistently and accurately document all information pertaining to accounts, ensuring that customer data is up-to-date and secure.

  • Use basic business math to solve problems and make informed decisions.

  • Speak clearly, concisely, and effectively; listen to, and understand information and ideas as presented verbally.

  • Maintain a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism when speaking to customers, even in challenging situations.

  • Follow written and/or verbal instructions, adhering to company policies and procedures.

  • Work within the laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures that govern our industry.

  • Process card payments accurately and efficiently.

  • Perform the initial approval of potential borrowers by thoroughly examining their applications through multiple software systems.

  • Review applicants to evaluate their eligibility for loan and make informed decisions.

  • Follow up with customers to clarify important points and ensure that their needs are met.

  • Finalize loan details and keep customers informed about rules and obligations.

  • Remain up-to-date regarding lending and other financial services, ensuring that you're always knowledgeable about our products and services.

  • Create and renew records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer information.

  • Identify customer needs, explore all options available to customers, and provide solutions that meet their needs.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and change quickly with the needs of the company.

  • Ability to multi-task by speaking with customers and typing notes simultaneously.

  • Meet monthly individual goals as set by management, demonstrating your commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills

Preferred Education and/or Experience

While a minimum of a High school diploma/GED is required, we prefer candidates with:


  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a financial services or related industry.

  • Technical skills, such as proficiency in MS: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Experience working with cloud-based storage and internet applications.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

As an Overnight Customer Service Representative, you'll be required to:


  • Sit for long periods of time, talking and listening constantly.

  • Work a 3rd shift schedule, from 11pm to 7am.

  • Be fully remote after an initial 1-week training period, which will take place from 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
