About the Role: Your Heart, Our Mission
As a fully remote EAP Worklife Customer Support Associate, you'll serve as the initial point of contact for members seeking mental health and wellbeing resources. In this critical position, you'll be the warm welcome that greets individuals during some of their most vulnerable moments, providing guidance, resources, and compassionate support that can make all the difference in their recovery journey.
Our EAP (Employee Assistance Program) and Worklife services form an integral part of our comprehensive behavioral health offerings. You'll work within an integrated team that supports members across the full spectrum of mental health needs, ensuring that every person who reaches out receives the personalized care and appropriate resources they deserve. Position Details
- Employment Type: Full-time, Fully Remote
- Work Location: Work anywhere within the United States
- Shift Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM EST
- Operation Hours: Our call center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Holiday Expectations: Holiday work is expected as part of this role

What You'll Do: Making Every Interaction Count
As a member of our support team, you'll be responsible for a wide range of duties that directly impact member satisfaction and outcomes. Your contributions will ensure that every person who contacts us receives the highest quality of care and attention.
Member Support and Engagement
- Welcome and engage with callers by actively listening to understand their needs and purpose for calling
- Professionally and efficiently triage calls, determining the appropriate level of response and urgency
- Conduct thorough assessments of each member's unique needs and circumstances
- Research and communicate information about available EAP and Worklife services with clarity and empathy
- Recognize crisis situations immediately and evaluate necessary actions to minimize risk to the member
- Utilize internal databases and online resources to identify potential providers and relevant resources
- Accurately enter member information into our EAP systems to initiate proper case documentation
- Maintain comprehensive, professional documentation of all interactions and case details
Team Collaboration and Support
- Receive calls transferred from licensed counselors and provide immediate, responsive member assistance
- Schedule appointments between members and appropriate counseling professionals
- Support team members in responding to inquiries about life skills resources, including childcare, eldercare, and other family support services
- Communicate effectively with all internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery
- Conduct outbound calls as needed to identify and secure member resources and services
- Assist with printing and fulfillment of materials, including provider profiles, selection of appropriate guidebooks, and documentation of fulfillment completion
- Maintain inventory of materials within the EAP system
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Protect the confidentiality of all member information with the highest level of professionalism
- Adhere to enterprise policies, as well as EAP and Worklife specific procedures and guidelines
- Maintain accurate and complete internal documentation that meets risk management and regulatory requirements
- Proactively anticipate member needs and take full ownership of each interaction
- Address inquiries and resolve issues as a single-point-of-contact across phone, digital, and written communications
- Provide customized interactions based on individual customer preferences and needs
- Resolve complex issues with minimal or no management intervention
- Administer structured pre-screening assessments based on triggers to ensure urgent needs receive appropriate attention
- Identify triggers for additional resources and connect members with appropriate support responses
- Assess for social determinants and needs, offering and connecting members with viable resources to address those requirements
What We're Looking For: Your Qualifications Matter
Required Qualifications
- Customer Service Experience: Minimum of one year of customer service and call center experience, demonstrating strong communication skills and professional demeanor
- Human Services Background: Minimum of one year of experience in a social, psychological, or human service field providing direct client support
- Technical Proficiency: Basic computer knowledge, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent GED
Preferred Qualifications
- Behavioral Health Expertise: One year or more of experience in the behavioral health field is strongly preferred
- Crisis Intervention Training: Previous experience in crisis de-escalation and intervention
- Case Management: Background in case management or care coordination
- Multi-lingual Capabilities: Ability to communicate in languages other than English is a valuable asset
