About Our Location
This position is based at our store located at 1010 N Main St, Vidor, Texas 77662. Our Vidor location serves as a community cornerstone, providing essential services and products to our neighbors in the area. You'll become familiar with regular customers and have the opportunity to genuinely impact your local community.
What You'll Do as a Lead Customer Service Representative
As a Lead Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for a wide range of duties that keep our store running smoothly and ensure every customer leaves with a positive impression. No two days will be exactly alike, which is what makes this role so exciting and engaging.
Customer Interaction & Service
- Greet each customer with a warm, welcoming smile and genuine enthusiasm
- Operate the cash register with accuracy and efficiency, processing all transactions smoothly
- Provide attentive customer assistance by answering questions and offering product recommendations
- Actively listen to customer needs and exceed their expectations with solutions-oriented service
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and empathy
- Maintain in-depth product knowledge to suggest relevant items and upsell opportunities
- Ensure every customer interaction reflects our commitment to exceptional service
Operational Excellence
- Manage daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed to standard
- Monitor and maintain store appearance, keeping shelves stocked and displays visually appealing
- Work across multiple areas of the store, both indoors and outdoors, as needed
- Support our food service program by preparing and presenting food items to standard
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments and restocking products
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store, including restrooms, floors, and displays
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead shifts on a regular basis, overseeing daily operations and team performance
- Train and mentor new team members, sharing best practices and providing constructive feedback
- Motivate and inspire team members to achieve daily goals and exceed customer expectations
- Delegate tasks effectively while maintaining accountability for results
- Address employee concerns and foster a positive, collaborative work environment
- Communicate company updates, policy changes, and performance expectations to the team

What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Demonstrated passion for providing exceptional customer service
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to engage in friendly conversation
- Comfortable selling products and services to customers
- Ability to work at a quick pace while maintaining accuracy and quality
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Willingness to take initiative and lead when necessary
- Reliable and punctual with a track record of regular and predictable onsite attendance
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, and overnight shifts
Preferred Experience
- Previous retail or customer service experience
- Prior entry-level management or supervisory experience
- Sales associate or cashiering background
- Experience leading shifts or mentoring team members
- Knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Familiarity with food service operations

Physical Requirements
This role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform various tasks throughout your shift. Please review the following requirements:

- Lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead for up to 30 minutes during a shift
- Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level
- Push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds
- Bend at the waist with some twisting for up to one hour per shift
- Grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands, requiring good eye-hand coordination
- Occasionally climb ladders to store and retrieve materials or place and remove signs
