- Job Description:
- Review, underwrite, negotiate, and recommend new loan originations and refinances within established guidelines
- Analyze borrower and tenant financials, organizational structures, and third-party reports
- Prepare underwriting spreadsheets, commitment letters, and documentation for extensions, assumptions, modifications, and other loan actions
- Support communication and workflow between underwriting, investor relations, closing, and servicing teams
- Develop and maintain portfolio reports, models, and market research to support mortgage investment decisions
- Conduct property site inspections and provide analytical support to the investment division
- Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, accounting, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in commercial mortgage lending, real estate investment, or a related field
- Working knowledge of commercial mortgage lending practices, legal documentation, and real estate valuation concepts
- Proficiency with financial analysis, underwriting techniques, and spreadsheet software
- Ability to manage competing priorities with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to interpret and present financial and underwriting information clearly
- Experience with mortgage loan databases or investment analysis software
- Familiarity with real estate market research and portfolio reporting
