Part-Time Appointment Setter, Sales Pipeline Management, 10 hrs/week, US-Based - Contract to Hire
Posted 2026-05-06Part-Time Appointment Setter, Sales Pipeline Management, 10 hrs/week
US-based digital marketing agency hiring an appointment setter to convert
warm leads into booked sales calls on the founder's calendar. We have an
active pipeline and an AI system that generates leads, drafts outreach, and
manages the CRM. Your one job is to take those leads from interested to
booked.
THE GOAL
Booked sales calls. That's the only metric that matters in this role.
Everything else (applications, inbox checks, pipeline updates) supports that
one outcome.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Apply to relevant job posts daily on a major job posting platform using
our pre-built resume, cover letter, and application templates (this is how
we generate inbound conversations)
- Respond to hiring manager messages and email replies using our proven
playbook, with the goal of booking a discovery call on the CEO's calendar
- Handle objections, answer common questions, and move conversations toward
a scheduled call (we'll provide scripts and the AI system drafts most
responses, you adapt and send)
- Update lead status in our Notion CRM as conversations progress
- Flag hot leads to the CEO immediately in Slack
- Daily end-of-day Slack report to the CEO with the only metric that matters:
calls booked today, plus pipeline activity (applications submitted,
messages received, replies handled)
REPORTING STRUCTURE
- Reports directly to the CEO
- Daily end-of-day Slack report (covered above)
- Weekly 15-minute video check-in with the CEO every Friday to review booked
calls, conversion patterns, and adjust priorities
ACCOUNTABILITY AND METRICS
- Primary KPI: sales calls booked per week
- Target: 3 to 5 booked discovery calls per week within 30 days of starting
- We'll track conversion from message received to call booked. If conversion
is low, we troubleshoot the messaging and process together. This is a
collaborative role, not a sink-or-swim one.
SCHEDULE
- 10 hours per week total, Monday through Friday
- Three 40-minute check-in segments per day: one morning, one midday, one
afternoon (2 hours per day total)
- Specific timing is flexible, but each segment must fall within US Central
Time business hours (8 AM to 6 PM CT)
- Long-term role with potential to expand hours and pay if booking targets
are consistently hit
WHAT YOU NEED
- US-based (required)
- Strong written English with a friendly, professional tone
- Prior appointment setting, SDR, or inside sales experience strongly
preferred
- Comfortable handling objections in writing
- Familiarity with Gmail, Slack, and basic CRM navigation (Notion is a plus)
- Reliable internet and the ability to work in three 40-minute blocks per
day during US business hours
- Outcome-driven. You measure your day in calls booked, not hours logged.
RATE
- $15 to $20 per hour base, depending on experience
- Bonus: $25 per booked call that shows up
- Paid weekly through Upwork
APPLY WITH
1. A 2-3 sentence intro about your appointment setting or SDR experience
2. How many calls per week you've typically booked in past roles
3. Confirm you can work three 40-minute segments per day during US Central
Time business hours
4. Answer this: A prospect replies to a cold email saying "Sounds
interesting, what do you charge?" What's your immediate next response,
and what's your goal with that response?
I won't respond to generic copy-paste applications. Show me you read the post.
