Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Support Specialist at arenaflex, your primary mission will be to deliver exceptional service that exceeds customer expectations. Here's what you can expect to do in this role:

- Master Ticketing and Check-In Operations: Operate our modernized point-of-sale system to handle ticketing, check-in, boarding, baggage services, reservations, and resolve related complaints or issues professionally and efficiently.
- Handle Financial Transactions: Process payments including cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons. Calculate fares, make change, and balance daily transactions with accuracy and integrity. Be prepared to take responsibility for any overages or shortages.
- Baggage and Freight Management: Check in baggage and freight, answer phone calls to provide information to callers, page customers, resolve problems or complaints, and assist as needed throughout the customer journey.
- Ensure Efficient Boarding Operations: Handle all transactions required to board aircraft in a timely and efficient manner, working under close time constraints to achieve quick aircraft turns.
- Manage Irregular Operations: Professionally handle situations involving oversells, delayed or cancelled flights, and lost, delayed, or damaged baggage. Resolve these issues quickly while adhering to company policies and guidelines.
- Provide Accurate Information: Offer current and accurate fare information, schedules, reservations, flight arrival/departure information, and answer general inquiries from customers and visitors.
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete required forms and reports accurately. Write anomaly and complaint reports as necessary to maintain quality standards.
- Adapt to Station Needs: Responsibilities may vary based on the size and organization of the station, demonstrating flexibility and versatility in your role.
- Physical Requirements: Meet any physical capacity requirements as outlined in the job description, including standing for extended periods, lifting baggage, and moving through various airport areas.
- Additional Duties: Perform other job-related responsibilities as directed by supervisory staff, contributing to overall team success.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need to meet the following requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered
- Technical Skills: Ability to type and use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet job demands
- Comprehension: Ability to understand documents, follow instructions, learn and comprehend ticketing procedures, rules, and regulations
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work cooperatively with others as part of a team, meet the public, and maintain composure in stressful situations
- Training Requirement: Must successfully complete the Customer Support Specialist training program with an 80% or greater average and satisfy the evaluation period
- Safety Awareness: Must be aware of hazardous situations and able to handle emergencies as they arise
- Time Management: Must work under close time constraints to accomplish quick aircraft turns
- Professional Appearance: Must present a well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Ground Operations Employee Handbook and Work Agreement
- Spatial Capabilities: Must be able to perform all job functions within limited spaces
- Communication Skills: Must communicate effectively by phone, face-to-face, and over public address systems. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Radio Communication: Must be able to convey information and instructions verbally or through radio equipment
