What You'll Do

As an Information Examiner (Data Analyst) at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in advancing our data capabilities within the Music Group. Your analytical expertise will help us understand how listeners discover, engage with, and consume music across various platforms and channels. You'll work alongside talented colleagues in engineering, product, and marketing to translate business questions into meaningful analytical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Data Acquisition and Management: Gather, organize, cleanse, and govern modern, large-scale, high-dimensional data from multiple unique sources using advanced tools like PySpark and optimized SQL queries. You'll ensure data integrity and accessibility across our analytics ecosystem.
  • Automated Analysis Frameworks: Build automated, scalable, repeatable, and integrated analysis pipelines using modern big data architectures in data ecosystems such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Google BigQuery. Your solutions will enable consistent and efficient analytical workflows.
  • Advanced Analytics: Apply sophisticated analytical techniques including data mining, statistical analysis, and machine learning to identify patterns and uncover opportunities within listener behavioral data. You'll transform raw data into strategic insights.
  • Campaign and Content Analysis: Lead campaign, product, content, and audience analysis for organizational needs. Develop and maintain key metrics to measure success and provide regular performance dashboards to stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering and Product teams to deliver data projects, contributing to solution discovery, design, build, and quality assurance. You'll serve as an analytical consultant to multiple business units.
  • Insight Communication: Translate complex analytical findings into compact and compelling data-driven narratives. Effectively communicate insights to audiences across all levels and functional areas of the organization.

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications:


  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of analytical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating quantitative expertise.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in scripting tools such as PySpark, Python, R, and SQL. You should be comfortable writing efficient queries and manipulating large datasets.
  • Data Visualization: Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools. Ability to create intuitive dashboards and reports that communicate findings clearly.
  • Time Management: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Analytical Mindset: Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, with the ability to apply appropriate methods to business problems.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience applying machine learning techniques such as linear and logistic regression, decision trees, or k-means clustering to derive, validate, and measure conclusions from data.
  • Experience documenting data requirements, rules, and assumptions for analytical projects.
  • Proficiency in data mining within distributed systems like Databricks, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.
  • Experience manipulating large, transactional-level datasets and interpreting data trends from diverse data sources.
  • Passion for the music and/or media entertainment industry data!
  • Familiarity with music streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube), social media platforms (TikTok, Facebook/Instagram), and emerging technologies (digital assistants/voice).
  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a quantitative field including Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
