Position Overview

We're currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Remote Chat Moderator to join our growing team. This is a remote, flexible position that plays a critical role in maintaining the health and safety of our official Discord community. As a Chat Moderator at arenaflex, you'll be on the front lines of community management, ensuring that our Discord server remains a welcoming, respectful, and rule-abiding space for all members.

Key Responsibilities

As a Chat Moderator at arenaflex, your primary responsibility is to maintain a positive and safe environment within our Discord server. This includes, but is not limited to, the following essential duties:

• Message Monitoring and Management: Review and monitor chat messages in real-time to identify content that violates our community guidelines. This includes deleting inappropriate messages, offensive content, spam, and any material that doesn't align with our community standards.
• User Enforcement Actions: When necessary, take appropriate enforcement actions against users who violate our rules. This may include issuing temporary or permanent bans to users with multiple or repeated violations, ensuring the safety and comfort of all community members.
• User Muting: Apply mute restrictions to users who have violated chat rules, preventing them from sending messages for a specified period. You'll exercise good judgment in determining the appropriate duration and severity of mutes based on the nature of the violation.
• Report Investigation: Thoroughly investigate reports submitted by community members regarding potential rule violations. This involves reviewing message history, gathering context, and making informed decisions about appropriate actions to take.
• Community Guideline Enforcement: Consistently apply our established community guidelines in a fair, impartial, and consistent manner. You'll need to balance enforcing rules with maintaining a positive community atmosphere.
