What You'll Do

As a Customer Support Specialist at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for a wide range of duties that keep our operations running smoothly. While this list reflects the current position, management may modify the role or require additional assignments when necessary, always in compliance with legal obligations including any collective bargaining requirements.


  • Issue, reissue, and refund passenger tickets with accuracy and efficiency

  • Book, ticket, and confirm flight reservations while providing excellent customer guidance

  • Rebook travelers on oversold flights and during irregular operations, ensuring minimal disruption to their travel plans

  • Perform passenger check-in and front seat assignment (except curbside), address oversold seat assignments, and issue upgrades

  • Issue vouchers and coordinate with contractors for passenger hotel accommodations, meals, and transportation; arrange for refueling and refreshments when necessary

  • Perform passenger boarding, including ticket lift and ticket lift/check procedures

  • Operate door reader/scanner and related duties including pre-boarding, monitoring/checking carry-on items, and exit row protocols

  • Operate jetways/bridges for boarding and deplaning passengers

  • Make boarding and departure gate announcements in a clear and professional manner

  • Deliver domestic/international flight documents to passengers

  • Perform passenger service flight close-out procedures

  • Accept, check, and tag passengers' items at destination points, full-service ticket counters, and first-class ticket counters

  • Maintain timeline of flight boarding process to ensure punctual departures

  • Perform customer care hands-on training as required

  • Process and complete Visa stuff exchanges at kiosks in the ticket counter area and activation stations

  • Assist passengers with self-service kiosk check-in and kiosk baggage handling at ticket counters

  • Manage lines at ticket counter kiosks and ticket counters

  • Clear/check international documents at kiosks in the ticket counter area and activation stations

  • Accept and activate passengers' self-labeled bags at activation stations

  • Help customers requiring special assistance or in-station; assist boarding, deplaning, and transporting non-ambulatory passengers, special assistance travelers, and unaccompanied minors

  • Perform customer service work associated with handling regional flights and contractor/ground handling arrangements or contracts

  • Maintain regular and predictable on-site attendance, including meeting any mandatory overtime requirements

  • Respond to and assist during security and/or emergency situations

  • Provide connecting passengers with gate information

  • Deliver quality customer care in a professional manner and according to arenaflex guidelines

  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and performance standards

  • Complete all required phases of training

  • Comply with governmental regulations (e.g., DOT, FAA, TSA)

  • Utilize various internal resources/systems during customer interactions

  • Wear uniforms as required by company policy

Depending on Your Location, You May Also:


  • Perform Passenger Activity Control capabilities including air-to-ground communication along with Ramp capabilities

  • Help international passengers through customs/migration, including baggage inspection

  • Deliver tickets, international flight documents, and customs/migration forms

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need to meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Language Skills: Bilingual language skills may be required in certain locations
  • Legal Requirements: Must possess a valid driver's license as required by local authorities
  • Background Checks: Must satisfy FAA criminal record checks to qualify for unescorted access credentials to airport security identification market areas (SIDA), if applicable
  • Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain appropriate airport badge and/or US Customs security identifications, if required
  • Pre-Employment Screening: Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, thorough background check, and/or fingerprinting to satisfy company and security requirements
  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will help you stand out from other candidates:


  • Working knowledge of Sabre or other Passenger Service Systems

  • Previous face-to-face customer support experience

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • High school diploma or equivalent (in addition to the bachelor's degree requirement)

  • Prior experience in the travel or hospitality industry
