Procurement Transformation Consultant
Posted 2026-05-06Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Transformation Consultant to lead an active, high-priority procurement platform implementation initiative. This individual will serve as the primary strategic partner on this engagement, owning end-to-end execution, managing cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring continuity as the program scales.
You will inherit a mid-flight program and lead it to completion, coordinating across three integrated enterprise systems — an intake/workflow platform, a sourcing and contract execution platform, and a master contract lifecycle management system — while overseeing significant team growth and operational expansion.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Own the platform implementation roadmap; drive phased rollout through structured quality gate approvals at each expansion stage
Program Management: Maintain a large, multi-workstream project plan; lead regular stakeholder reporting; coordinate across technical, legal, and operational teams concurrently
System Integration: Manage data flows across three integrated platforms; troubleshoot field mapping issues, amendment flows, and integration failures
Stakeholder Engagement: Primary liaison to senior leadership and cross-functional partners; lead working sessions and workshops; deliver executive-ready status materials
Training & Enablement: Coordinate team onboarding at scale; build SOPs, workflow guides, and training programs to support long-term self-sufficiency
Continuous Optimization: Drive catalog expansion, advanced sourcing capability rollout, savings tracking, and ongoing process improvement
- Experience
- 8+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain consulting - Fortune 500 or large enterprise environment
- Proven track record managing complex, multi-system technology implementations from initiation through scale
- Hands-on experience with enterprise procurement platforms (GEP, ZIP, Sirion, Coupa, Ariba, or Jaggaer) strongly preferred
- ERP or CLM integration experience required - Oracle, SAP, or comparable system
- Technical Skills
- Deep fluency in source-to-contract and procure-to-pay workflows: intake, sourcing, contracting, PO issuance
- Ability to diagnose system integration failures: field mapping errors, data mismatches, and workflow configuration issues
- Proficient in project management tools; able to produce executive-grade deliverables independently
- Leadership
- Credible at VP/Director level, builds trust quickly across Legal, Finance, Operations, and Technology functions
- Structured communicator: precise documentation, clear SOPs, and polished deliverables with minimal oversight
- Experienced running stakeholder workshops with mixed audiences; comfortable presenting independently to senior leadership
- Systems Environment
- Intake & Workflow Platform: Governance, routing logic, approval thresholds, and request management
- Sourcing & Contract Platform: Primary platform under implementation - sourcing, catalog, and contract execution
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Master CLM and ERP integration - troubleshooting and purchase order flows
- Reference & Correction Tools: Catalog reference file management and retroactive contract correction processes
- You will be evaluated on:
- Day 1 Readiness: Execute a structured handoff from the outgoing consultant with zero disruption to active workstreams and established stakeholder relationships.
- Team Scale-Up: Onboard and enable a growing team; build training infrastructure that supports long-term operational self-sufficiency.
- Phase Execution: Successfully advance platform rollout through successive expansion stages, clearing structured quality gates at each threshold.
- Program Delivery: Drive the initiative to its volume and performance targets on schedule - meeting or exceeding defined procurement processing goals.
Pay: $120.00 - $125.00 per hour
