- Our growing client is looking for a PROJECT Engineer.
- 50-75% Travel in the Beginning to Several Plants is a Must*
- *They want this person to be from MT, CT or ET time zones and live close to a major airport**
We are not looking for people with contract experience.
The Project Engineer will serve as a key player in the organizations production facilities. This position will assist plant managers and operations management personnel with the execution of plant level projects. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Engineer works closely with plant management and contract engineers throughout the project life cycle to assure safety, quality, and efficiencies are delivered on time.
- Duties:
- Work closely with Plant Managers and Maintenance on process upgrades, troubleshooting, maintenance issues and scheduling as well as process and project implementation.
- Assist with designs, develop process drawings, use AutoCAD and other design software to develop drawings and P&ID’s as needed.
- Assist plant personnel and contractors with installation of equipment as needed for project execution.
- May participate in the commissioning of new equipment in production facilities.
- Recommend measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance
- Spend significant time within the plants managing projects and contractors.
- Integrate safety, environmental, and product quality into project scope.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering or equivalent experience is a Must.
- 4+ years project engineering experience.
- Strong safety work ethic.
- Ability to analyze problems, recommend solutions.
- Comfortable working on the production floor with operators and supervisors as well as talking to the CEO.
- Travel required 50%-75%.
