Position Overview

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Quality Control Standards Data Analyst Intern to join our Corporate team in Dallas, Texas, for the Summer 2024 program. This is a 12-week immersive internship running from May 21 to August 9, 2024, where you'll work alongside experienced professionals, gain hands-on experience with industry-leading tools and methodologies, and contribute meaningfully to our quality control initiatives.

The Quality Control Strategies and Standards team plays a critical role in maintaining arenaflex's commitment to safety, efficiency, and innovation. As an intern in this department, you'll be at the heart of our efforts to analyze data, identify trends, and develop recommendations that keep our operations running smoothly while continuously improving our processes.

What You'll Do

As a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst Intern at arenaflex, you can expect to be actively engaged in meaningful work that makes a real difference. Your responsibilities will include:


  • Data Collection and Validation: Assist the Quality Control team in gathering, validating, and organizing data from various sources. You'll learn to ensure data integrity and accuracy, which is the foundation of all analytical work we do.

  • Root Cause Analysis: Dive deep into data elements to identify the underlying causes of operational issues. You'll develop critical thinking skills that are invaluable in any analytical role.

  • Analysis and Reporting: Help create and deliver results from complex data analyses for both technical and non-technical audiences. You'll sharpen your communication skills by translating complex findings into actionable insights.

  • Ad Hoc Research Support: Respond to critical impromptu requests arising from emerging maintenance or operational issues. Your analytical contributions will help senior leadership make informed business decisions while balancing existing project responsibilities.

  • Data Visualization: Present insights, trends, and potential recommendations using data visualization tools. You'll make complex information accessible and understandable across the organization.

  • Query Development: Assist with developing and distributing specific queries to pull and coordinate data from various sources. You'll establish data rhythms and validate the necessity of data requirements.

  • Process Auditing: Identify anomalies in processes through comprehensive reviews and audits, then effectively communicate findings to the team.

  • Performance Monitoring: Evaluate the effectiveness of current processes and methods by monitoring for trends and variances. Your work will directly contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:


  • Active enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – with the ability to present to diverse audiences

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to assess business issues and identify opportunities for data-driven solutions

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to understand issues, summarize findings, and perform root cause analysis using logic and reasoning
