Position Overview
We are currently hiring Remote Call Center Representatives to join our pharmacy services division. In this role, you will be responsible for performing patient information sections and enrollments, handling high-volume customer requests, and resolving third-party prescription issues. You'll work directly under supervisory guidance to maintain compliance with company policies and government regulations while providing exceptional service to our patients.
This position is based in Orlando, Florida, and offers the flexibility of remote work. You'll need to maintain a productive home office setup and be available for training at our designated facility when required. Key Responsibilities
As a Remote Call Center Representative at arenaflex, your primary duties will include:
- Patient Enrollment & Data Entry: Process new patient enrollments by accurately entering information into our systems using arenaflex's prescription data entry procedures and guidelines. You'll maintain strict accuracy to ensure patient safety and proper prescription processing.
- Prescription Processing: Handle patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing. You'll investigate to obtain missing prescription information and decode clinical abbreviations (SIG codes) to ensure prescriptions are processed correctly.
- Data Entry Exception Resolution: Resolve all data entry-related exceptions promptly and accurately, ensuring no patient is left without their necessary medications.
- Patient Communications: Handle communications with patients through inbound calls, voicemails, and emails. You'll also make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed to resolve issues or gather additional information.
- Third-Party Reject Resolution: Assess, collect information, create prescriptions, and resubmit claims for processing according to individual plan requirements. You'll also make phone calls to insurance providers and other parties to obtain information, gain override approvals, or otherwise resolve third-party rejections.
- Pharmacist Support: Provide assistance to pharmacists both in the office and in other locations. You'll identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff as appropriate, functioning as a valuable member of the pharmacy team.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with all company policies, state regulations, and government guidelines. You'll adhere to HIPAA requirements and other privacy standards in all patient interactions.
- License/Certification: Obtain an active pharmacy technician license or certification within the first 90 days of employment and maintain this credential throughout your employment.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to start up and shut down computers, use mouse functions, start and close programs, switch between programs, save documents, print documents, and access information online
- Basic web browser skills, including opening a browser, typing URLs correctly, using search engines, bookmarking websites, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and completing online forms
- Intermediate keyboarding skills (minimum 25 WPM with typing from memory and organizing documents)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work in a remote environment with a reliable internet connection and appropriate workspace
- Willingness to obtain pharmacy technician license or certification within 90 days
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will strengthen your application:
- At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment
- At least 1.5 years as a pharmacy technician with certification/registration by the state as granted by the State Board for Pharmacies or a nationally recognized certification organization
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and evaluating customer satisfaction
- Intermediate to advanced keyboarding skills (minimum 35 WPM with typing from memory and organizing documents)
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (highly preferred)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy operations
- Familiarity with insurance claims processing and prescription billing
