[Remote] Credentialing Assistant

Skilled Wound Care is a leading national surgical physician group servicing nursing homes for wound care, ostomy care, and minor skin care. They are looking to hire a Credentialing Assistant to assist in the contracting and credentialing process for physicians and health practitioners, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Gather and verify credentials, licenses, and certifications for healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in credentialing databases
• Assist in preparing credentialing applications for facilities and insurance companies, including CAQH reviews
• Communicate with providers to obtain necessary documentation and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies
• Collaborate with the credentialing team to streamline processes and improve efficiency
• Manage incoming daily calls and review received mail

Skills

• At least 1+ years of experience in credentialing
• Strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and excellent communication skills
• MUST live in one of the following states: CA, CO, FL, KS, MD, MO, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, WY
