Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Customer Support Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that every customer receives the highest level of service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ticketing and Check-In Operations: Handle various aspects of ticketing and check-in by operating our automated retail system. This includes boarding procedures, baggage services, reservations, and resolving related complaints and issues efficiently.
  • Financial Transactions: Process payments including cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons for ticket purchases. Calculate fares, make change, and balance daily transactions with accuracy. Take responsibility for any overages or shortages.
  • Baggage and Cargo Services: Check in baggage and cargo, ensuring proper handling and documentation. Answer phone inquiries to provide information to visitors, page customers, resolve issues or complaints, and assist as needed.
  • Flight Operations Support: Handle transactions required to board aircraft in a timely and efficient manner. Manage the boarding process with attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Problem Resolution: Professionally manage distressed customers affected by oversells, delayed or cancelled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage. Resolve such issues quickly and within established guidelines.
  • Information Provision: Provide current and accurate fare information, schedules, reservations, flight arrival/departure information, and answer general inquiries from customers and other visitors.
  • Documentation: Complete forms and reports as required by the organization. Write abnormality and grievance reports as needed.
  • Flexibility: Perform other duties as directed by supervisors, with responsibilities potentially varying based on station size and organization.
  • Physical Requirements: Meet any physical capacity requirements as outlined in the job description.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:


  • Education: Bachelor Degree preferred. We value educational background, but equivalent experience will also be considered.

  • Time Management: Ability to work under tight time constraints to achieve quick aircraft turns and meet operational deadlines.

  • Professional Appearance: Must present a well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Ground Operations Representative Handbook and Work Agreement.

  • Workspace: Must be able to perform all job functions within a limited space.

  • Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively by phone, face-to-face, and over public address systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

  • Information Sharing: Must be able to convey information and instructions verbally or through radio equipment clearly and effectively.
