Position Overview

As a Remote Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our patient enrollment and pharmacy operations. This position involves entering patient information into our systems, processing prescription requests, resolving insurance discrepancies, and providing exceptional customer service to both patients and healthcare providers. Key Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, your responsibilities will include:


  • Patient Enrollment Processing: Accurately enter new patient information into our systems following established protocols and guidelines. Ensure all data is entered correctly to maintain comprehensive patient records and support seamless care delivery.
  • Prescription Data Entry: Process new prescription requests and refill orders within HIPAA guidelines. Enter prescription information precisely, including medication details, dosages, and physician instructions (SIG codes).
  • Medical Abbreviation Interpretation: Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting clinical abbreviations and SIG codes commonly used in prescription documentation. Research and acquire missing prescription information when necessary to ensure complete and accurate records.
  • Exception Resolution: Handle and resolve all data entry-related exceptions, including troubleshooting errors, correcting inaccurate information, and resubmitting requests for processing according to established procedures.
  • Patient Communication: Manage inbound calls, chats, and emails from patients regarding their prescriptions, enrollment status, and general inquiries. Provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance that reflects arenaflex's commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Outbound Communication: Make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed to obtain necessary information, clarify prescription details, or follow up on pending requests. Coordinate with insurance providers to resolve coverage issues.
  • Insurance Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate, analyze, and resolve third-party insurance rejections and discrepancies. Collect required information, make necessary corrections, and resubmit claims for processing according to specific plan requirements.
  • Insurance Coordination: Contact insurers and other parties to obtain information, gain override approvals, or otherwise resolve insurance-related issues that prevent prescription processing.
  • Pharmacy Team Support: Provide assistance to pharmacists both in your local area and across different locations. Serve as a reliable resource for pharmacy operations and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Issue Escalation: Identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff and management as appropriate, ensuring prompt resolution and continuous improvement of processes.
  • Compliance: Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA regulations and state pharmacy board guidelines.
  • Licensure: Obtain an active pharmacy technician license or certification within the first 90 days of employment and maintain active licensure throughout employment.

  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with computer operations including:

    • Starting up and shutting down computers

    • Saving documents and printing reports

    • Accessing information online


  • Internet Skills: Basic web browser proficiency including:
