Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Entry Technician to join our inspection and data management team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately inputting, validating, and maintaining critical inspection and design data within our Integrated Data Management Systems (IDMS). This position offers the flexibility to work remotely, with occasional travel required for training, team collaboration, or on-site support.
As a Data Entry Technician at arenaflex, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of inspection data that directly impacts the safety, compliance, and operational efficiency of our clients' facilities. Your meticulous attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications will be key to your success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
As an integral member of our data management team, you will be responsible for the following core duties:
- Accurate Data Entry: Precisely interpret and enter design and inspection data into IDMS software, ensuring all information is recorded correctly and meets established quality standards.
- Data Validation and Quality Control: Identify and troubleshoot errors, anomalies, or inconsistencies in the data. Monitor for variances requiring validation to ensure overall accuracy and reliability of information.
- Technical Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) drawings and perform iso correlation for piping entry with a high degree of accuracy.
- Inspection Data Recording: Record ultrasonic testing (UT) readings accurately and ensure all specifications are correctly reflected in the system.
- Data Verification: Conduct thorough reviews of entered data to verify accuracy, making necessary corrections as needed to maintain data integrity.
- Technical Documentation: Create inspection isometrics using AutoCAD (2D) software to support inspection activities and maintain comprehensive records.
- System Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and updating IDMS databases, ensuring all information is current, organized, and easily accessible.
- Collaboration: Work closely with inspection engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure seamless data flow and project success.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Post-secondary education in a technical field is considered a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with IDMS software platforms such as PCMS, Meridian, or similar systems.
- Computer Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Advanced knowledge of Excel for data management and analysis is highly desirable.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Organizational Abilities: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a seated position for prolonged periods while maintaining focus and accuracy.
- Industry Experience: Experience in Refinery or Plant inspection, or Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) experience is a plus but not required.
