The Role: Data Lead, Studio Data Management
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Data Lead to join the Studio Information Supervisory team within Content and Business Products (CBP), the division responsible for building applications that drive innovation in content production. Our team manages data quality for several large operational datasets that are used extensively across these applications. We work closely with product teams to ensure that data is delivering value to their products while simultaneously working to improve fundamental data quality through better processes, analysis, rules, and user education.
In this pivotal role, you will focus on data related to the agreements arenaflex makes with talent and organizations for the content we deliver to our subscribers. Deal data is used throughout studio operations, from pitch to play, and it is essential that this information is accurate, complete, and well-connected. You will help define, analyze, and report on data quality standards to meet business requirements, devise and socialize best practices, and create and implement processes to effectively monitor and fix data quality issues.
You will work alongside product teams on initiatives related to product development while also driving improvements to fundamental data health. Key Responsibilities
As a Data Lead at arenaflex, you will be responsible for driving both short-term and long-term thinking for deal data needs across the studio, including data quality and data education initiatives. Your expertise will be crucial in creating quarterly goals to meet near and long-term business objectives and leading the execution of strategic initiatives.
- Strategic Data Leadership: Provide close-term and long-term thinking for deal data needs across the studio, including data quality and data education. Create quarterly objectives to meet near and long-term business targets and lead execution of roadmap initiatives.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the primary data entity subject matter expert broadly across the studio, consulting with product management, engineers, designers, and partners on business matters related to deal data.
- Metrics Development: Work with product management, product Data Systems Engineers (DSE), and other partners to define, create, explore, and report metrics that provide visibility into various aspects of data quality.
- Process Innovation: Independently define and implement strategies to efficiently scale data quality work across the organization.
- Project Leadership: Lead data quality projects to support product development and to improve fundamental data quality, creating detailed plans that identify business impact, timelines, and risks, and executing on the work with precision.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage partner requests and drive partner alignment when required, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned on data initiatives.
- Customer Support: Serve as a resource for responding to users' data-related support requests, providing clear and helpful guidance to resolve issues efficiently.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with business teams to create and implement more efficient processes, best data practices, and educational documentation that empowers users to work with data more effectively.
Essential Qualifications

- Experience: 3+ years of experience working in data management with databases and/or content management systems.

- Project Management: Excellent time management and project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines for multiple concurrent projects.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate with empathy and clarity to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring data concepts are accessible to all stakeholders.
