About the Role

As an Eligibility Analyst at arenaflex, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate enrollment data and ensuring smooth processing of member information. This position offers the perfect blend of customer service and technical data management, providing you with valuable skills that will serve you throughout your career.

You will work directly with members, clients, and internal teams to resolve eligibility-related issues and ensure seamless service delivery. The role requires someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities


  • Member Enrollment Management: Review and verify enrollment status, process changes to member/client records, and address a variety of enrollment-related inquiries with accuracy and professionalism.

  • Data Maintenance: Maintain enrollment databases and ensure the proper flow of eligibility information across all systems, keeping records up-to-date and error-free.

  • Resource Utilization: Use and interpret online resources to understand account structures and benefits. Assist in the development and improvement of such resources to enhance team efficiency.

  • Issue Resolution: Respond to, research, and resolve eligibility and other enrollment-related issues, including member-specific information, by working directly with clients, vendors, and internal partners to achieve positive service outcomes.

  • Technical Application: Apply all appropriate considerations related to technical requirements, organizational/regulatory policies, account structure, and benefit parameters when addressing eligibility matters.

  • Business Coordination: Act as the liaison between clients, vendors, and the IT department to define and identify business requirements and solutions for non-standard arrangements.

  • System Integration: Ensure all transactions connect appropriately with downstream systems. Test and validate data files for new or existing clients using system tools and track results to avoid potential issues and better address ongoing service concerns.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other team capabilities to coordinate the delivery of eligibility, plan design, and benefit information effectively.

  • System Configuration: Complete required setup of policy and eligibility screens to activate system processing of plan benefits. Code system screens, policy, and design to support downstream cycles and the generation and delivery of Member and Plan Support products.

  • Compliance: Ensure all communications with clients, third-party administrators, and/or vendors, including sensitive member data, adhere to HIPAA compliance requirements and maintain the highest standards of data security.

Required Skills and Competencies


  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to communicate courteously and effectively with both internal and external clients. Skills include active listening, providing constructive feedback, strong spelling, grammar, proofreading, and phone communication abilities.

  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems and make improvements to processes and systems.

  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential for this role.

  • Data Entry Experience: Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Self-Direction: Understands goals/end states and works with minimal direction to meet objectives effectively.

  • Multi-tasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle shifting priorities in a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

While previous experience in a similar role is not required, any background in customer service, healthcare, or data entry will be considered a plus.
