As a Technical Writer on our team, you will play a pivotal role in translating complex technical concepts into clear, accessible, and user-friendly documentation that empowers our customers to succeed.
Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Technical Writer to join our Cloud Databases documentation team. In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to create, update, and maintain technical documentation for our cloud database services. You will have the opportunity to shape how customers around the world understand and utilize our products, directly impacting their success and satisfaction.
This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to contribute to our mission from anywhere within the United States. You will join a collaborative team of skilled documentation professionals within the Cloud Information Experience organization, where you will have opportunities to contribute to tools development, process improvements, and innovative solutions that enhance our content delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Documentation Development: Plan, design, write, and publish comprehensive technical documentation for the Cloud Database Service, including critical customer journeys, conceptual explanations, and detailed guidelines for how customers conduct business with our platform.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, UX Researchers, and UI Partners to identify critical user journeys and create information architectures that effectively guide customers through their learning and implementation experiences.
- Content Optimization: Collaborate with Cloud Database authors and subject matter experts to continually improve documentation practices, ensure content accuracy, and deliver an exceptional customer experience across all touchpoints.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to drive documentation initiatives, prioritize technical writing projects, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality content in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Mentorship: Mentor and support other authors on the Cloud Databases team, sharing best practices, providing constructive feedback, and fostering professional growth among colleagues.
- Customer Feedback Integration: Update and refine documentation in response to customer feedback, internal bug reports, and evolving product features to ensure our content remains current, accurate, and helpful.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Technical Communication, Technical Writing, or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of technical writing experience, with a proven track record of creating high-quality documentation for technical audiences.
- Strong ability to navigate ambiguity, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.

Compensation and Benefits
