Position Overview

arenaflex is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Analyst to join our Safety Department. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is passionate about aviation safety and wants to make a meaningful impact within a growing airline. As a Safety Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our Safety Management System (SMS) and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

This position is full-time and based in Dallas, USA. The Safety Analyst will be responsible for handling safety reports, gathering and analyzing data, creating comprehensive reports, following up on corrective actions, investigating events, and participating in special projects as assigned. You will assist management in the development and implementation of SMS data collection systems and various processes that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our safety programs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Safety Analyst at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with a variety of important responsibilities that contribute to the overall safety and success of our operations. Your duties will include:

• Report Management: Review, process, analyze, and assess all reports received through the safety reporting system. Ensure that each report is properly documented, categorized, and addressed in a timely manner.


• Data Analysis: Investigate technical data from hazards, events, and incidents. Identify, interpret, and analyze trends or patterns in complex datasets to provide actionable insights for management.


• Safety Program Monitoring: Track, analyze, and interpret data outputs from the company's safety programs. Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms that provide real-time visibility into safety metrics.


• Database Management: Assist in the organization of corporate databases to facilitate improved aircraft safety operations. Work with IT teams to ensure data integrity and accessibility.


• Investigation Support: Support the Safety Team in conducting thorough investigations as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to gather relevant information and evidence.


• Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise to Management regarding data models, database design development, and data mining techniques. Recommend improvements to data collection and analysis processes.


• Reporting and Communication: Prepare appropriate reports and communicate safety-related information to managers and line staff in support of the Safety Management System (SMS).


• SMS Development: Aid in the development, implementation, and management of the company's Safety Management System (SMS). Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.


• Continuous Improvement: Assist in the continuous improvement of the hazard identification and risk assessment programs. Develop and maintain risk matrices and mitigation strategies.


• Safety Assessments: Serve as a safety evaluator for the Internal Audit Program, Safety Inspections, and high-risk areas of operations. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential safety gaps.


• Trend Reporting: Prepare investigation studies concerning flight safety trends. Present findings to senior leadership with recommendations for improvement.


• Safety Promotion: Enhance Safety Promotion by serving as an ambassador of the SMS. Lead initiatives to raise safety awareness across the organization.


• Compliance: Conduct all duties in a safe and efficient manner while complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, aviation standards, and internal policies and procedures established by arenaflex.

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Aviation Safety, Safety Management, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.


• Technical Skills: Intermediate to moderate level Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency in data analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other advanced functions.


• Experience: Prior experience in data analysis and reporting is required. Experience in the aviation industry is highly preferred.


• Self-Motivation: Must be a self-starter capable of working independently with minimal direction while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.


• Computer Skills: Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint for creating reports, presentations, and documentation.


• Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.


• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.


• Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain an MSP SIDA badge as required by airport security regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a Safety Management System (SMS) in the aviation industry.


• Knowledge of FAA regulations and international aviation safety standards.


• Familiarity with database management systems and data visualization tools.


• Certification in safety management or related fields.


• Experience in conducting safety audits and inspections.
