Security Architect / Cybersecurity Engineer (Remote

Position Details:
• Role: Security Architect / Cybersecurity Engineer
• Location: 100% Remote (Preference for candidates open to occasional onsite in Columbia, SC)
• Duration: 12 Months
• Start Date: May 25, 2026

Key Responsibilities:
• Support design, deployment, and operations of enterprise security platforms (SIEM, XDR, Vulnerability Management, DLP)
• Build and maintain Linux-based security sensors and endpoint monitoring tools
• Drive vulnerability management lifecycle including scanning, reporting, and remediation tracking
• Develop automation and integrations using Python/Bash
• Assist in security architecture design aligned with compliance frameworks (NIST, CJIS, IRS 1075, CMS MARS-E)
• Support incident detection, response, and log analysis

Required Experience:
• 5+ years with enterprise security tools (SIEM, XDR, DLP, Vulnerability Management)
• Strong experience in large-scale IT environments
• Hands-on scripting (Python, Bash)
• Solid understanding of security architecture, networking, and system hardening (Linux/Windows)

Preferred:
• CISSP or Security+ certification
• SIEM administration and reporting expertise
• Experience with Linux-based sensor deployment
