What You'll Do
As a Senior Customer Engineer at arenaflex, you'll serve as the technical cornerstone for our customer success initiatives. Your role goes beyond traditional technical support—you'll be a strategic advisor, problem-solver, and innovation catalyst for organizations looking to modernize their infrastructure and embrace cloud-native architectures.
Technical Customer Engagement
- Lead the technical relationship with arenaflex's enterprise customers, serving as their primary point of contact for all technical matters related to cloud infrastructure and modernization initiatives
- Conduct comprehensive product and solution briefings that showcase arenaflex Cloud's capabilities and help customers understand how our platform addresses their specific business challenges
- Design and execute proof-of-concept projects that demonstrate the value and feasibility of cloud solutions in customer environments
- Coordinate with cross-functional technical resources, including solution architects, support engineers, and product specialists, to ensure seamless customer experiences
- Identify and qualify business opportunities by understanding customer technical requirements, pain points, and strategic objectives
Solution Architecture & Design
- Engage with customers to understand their existing legacy application environments and conduct thorough assessments of their current infrastructure
- Develop comprehensive modernization roadmaps that outline the path from on-premises or legacy systems to cloud-native architectures
- Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement complete cloud solutions
- Create practical and useful solution designs that address customer business challenges while leveraging arenaflex Cloud's cutting-edge technology
- Present technical recommendations to both technical stakeholders and executive leaders, translating complex concepts into business value
Technical Leadership
- Develop strategy to resolve technical blockers and objections that may arise during the sales and implementation process
- Work collaboratively with arenaflex's sales teams to identify new business opportunities and expand existing customer relationships
- Liaise with product management and engineering teams to provide customer feedback, influence product development, and stay current on industry trends
- Mentor and guide less experienced team members, sharing your expertise in cloud architecture and customer engagement
- Contribute to the development of technical best practices, documentation, and knowledge-sharing resources

Essential Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience demonstrating technical proficiency
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role, with a demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable, reliable cloud solutions
- Presentation Skills: Proven experience engaging with technical stakeholders and presenting to executive leaders, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and best practices
- Customer Focus: Exceptional problem-solving skills and a genuine desire to help customers succeed
Preferred Qualifications
While we value all candidates, having experience in the following areas will help you excel in this role:
- Deep experience with cloud or on-premises infrastructure engineering, including design, implementation, and optimization of complex infrastructure environments
- Proficiency with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM, and containerization technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
- Proven track record in migrating applications and services to cloud platforms, with experience in assessment, planning, and execution of migration projects
- Strong understanding of security controls including encryption standards, identity management and access control frameworks, common attack vectors, and penetration testing methodologies
- Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts including software-defined networking, routing protocols, virtual private networks, load balancers, and firewall configurations
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Industry certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., arenaflex Professional Cloud Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent)

Compensation & Benefits
We recognize that great talent deserves competitive rewards. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$177,000 annually, plus additional compensation components. Your total compensation will include:
