About the Role

The Application Platform team at arenaflex provides frameworks, services, and developer tools to internal engineering teams, accelerating their Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). We're currently working on an exciting Generative AI-based developer experience platform for internal use, designed to supercharge our application development capabilities.

As a Data Scientist on this team, you'll play a critical role in designing and executing our AI strategy to elevate our developer experience platform to new heights. You'll collaborate with multi-functional teams and apply cutting-edge algorithms to large-scale data, transforming how our engineers build and deliver solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day work will involve developing, deploying, and optimizing machine learning models that power our developer tools. Here's what you can expect to own:

• Design and Implementation: Build and implement AI/ML solutions that enhance our developer experience platform, ensuring scalability and performance at scale.


• Algorithm Development: Apply advanced machine learning algorithms, deep learning techniques, and large language models (LLMs) to solve complex business challenges.


• Model Training & Optimization: Select appropriate ML algorithms, train models, and fine-tune hyperparameters to achieve optimal predictive performance.


• Transformer Architecture: Leverage deep understanding of transformer architecture and vector embeddings to develop solutions for various business problems.


• Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data quality through thorough analysis, handling missing values, detecting anomalies, evaluating model performance, validating results, and interpreting outcomes to provide actionable recommendations.


• Foundation Models: Experience with training models or utilizing foundation models, with the ability to retrain or fine-tune to meet custom needs.


• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with AI engineers, software developers, and other data scientists to deliver end-to-end AI-enabled solutions.


• Stakeholder Communication: Present experimental results in a clear and compelling manner. Translate complex AI model capabilities into digestible information for non-technical audiences.


• Documentation & Best Practices: Maintain comprehensive documentation of methodologies, experiments, and findings to support knowledge sharing and team growth.

Essential Qualifications

We're looking for candidates who bring a combination of technical expertise and problem-solving mindset:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.


• Professional Experience: Minimum 2+ years of overall experience in the software industry with a focus on Machine Learning.


• Programming Proficiency: Highly skilled in quantitative programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, with experience working with distributed stores like S3, Flash, and Vector Databases.


• ML Expertise: Strong understanding and hands-on experience with cutting-edge ML algorithms, deep learning, statistics, and large language models.


• Technical Depth: Solid grasp of transformer architecture, vector embeddings, and applying models to solve diverse business challenges.


• Data Analysis: Proven ability to ensure data quality through systematic analysis, handling missing values, anomaly detection, model evaluation, and result validation.


• Model Development: Experience picking appropriate ML algorithms, training models, and calibrating hyperparameters for optimal predictive performance.


• Foundation Model Experience: Hands-on experience training models or using foundation models with the ability to retrain or fine-tune for specific requirements.


• Communication Skills: Ability to present complex experimental results clearly and effectively, translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying ML techniques specifically in developer productivity or software engineering domains
