Senior Developer / Associate Developer

CalPERS, the nation’s largest public pension fund, is seeking a Senior Developer / Associate Developer to support the development and operation of its Investment line-of-business and enterprise systems. This role involves translating business needs into technical solutions within a fast-paced environment, collaborating with various teams to enhance investment management systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and operation of CalPERS Investment line-of-business and enterprise systems
• Translate business needs into solutions
• Work with the Investment Office and Information Technology Services Branch (ITSB) teams

Skills

• Experience supporting investment management systems, or alternative experience that would enable success in this position
• Development experience with C# in Microsoft .Net, including at least one example detailing project scope, scale, team size, and personal participation
• Experience in additional technical roles supporting ongoing operation of production business applications, such as installing/upgrading/patching commercial-off-the-shelf software, troubleshooting custom business application outages, experience with enterprise monitoring tools, database administration, user management, etc
• All experience and education relating to the Minimum Qualifications (MQs) listed on the Classification Specification must be included in the application package
• If using education to meet MQs, transcripts must be included with the application package
• If the degree is from outside of the United States, an evaluation of the degree to determine US equivalency must be submitted
