What You'll Do

As a Senior Engineer at arenaflex, your contributions will be instrumental in maintaining our position as a leader in the aviation industry. Here's what you can expect in this role:


  • Technical Training & Mentorship: Conduct comprehensive training programs for Engineers in your area(s) of expertise. You'll serve as a mentor to other Engineers, sharing your knowledge and helping them develop their technical capabilities. Your guidance will shape the next generation of aviation professionals at arenaflex.
  • Team Leadership: Function as a team leader or facilitator for project management or issue resolution initiatives. You'll coordinate efforts across departments, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with manufacturers and regulatory authorities as required, ensuring that Engineering practices are properly validated according to applicable regulations and Company manuals. You'll maintain rigorous standards that prioritize safety above all else.
  • Customized Procedures Development: Develop customized methods and special instructions for repairs, modifications, inspections, adjustments, and other maintenance activities that are not adequately addressed in existing manuals. Your technical expertise will fill critical gaps in our operational procedures.
  • Operational Awareness: Stay informed regarding daily airline operations within your field of responsibility. Review daily needs according to aircraft and departmental objectives and management directives to ensure seamless operations.
  • Issue Analysis & Resolution: Analyze aircraft and component issues that may cause flight delays or cancellations, significant expenditures in labor or materials, or breaks in maintenance activities. Determine appropriate corrective actions to minimize operational disruption and maintain our reputation for reliability.
  • Technical Support: Provide Engineering support as needed to address discrepant situations affecting aircraft or parts to restore serviceable status. Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline divisions when technical assistance is needed to support operations or resolve issues.
  • Project Management: Develop action plans for fleet or multi-fleet and component Engineering projects and pursue definitive solutions according to assessed needs. Manage complex initiatives from conception through completion.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with other airline divisions as needed to facilitate effective and efficient execution of Engineering practices. Build strong relationships across departments to drive operational excellence.
  • Documentation & Implementation: Prepare Engineering documents to implement technical practices by providing customized methods for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance activities that provide benefits according to aircraft and departmental targets and management mandates.
  • Regulatory Knowledge Maintenance: Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming regulations that affect areas of responsibility. Ensure all Engineering activities maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including FAA, EASA, and other relevant authorities.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Use available resources to increase levels of technical expertise and practical experience continuously. Improve communication skills, time management, and other personal qualities relevant to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage with frontline colleagues and management in a collaborative manner. Foster a culture of open communication and mutual respect throughout the organization.

What You'll Need for Success

We're seeking a dedicated professional who brings the right combination of education, experience, and personal attributes to excel in this critical role. Here's what we're looking for:

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field or related Engineering certification

  • One year of Engineering experience in a related field OR two years of experience without a degree

  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Required Skills, Licenses & Certifications


  • A&P License: Airframe and Powerplant certification is required, demonstrating your foundational knowledge of aircraft maintenance and systems.
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. You'll need to analyze technical data and make information-driven decisions that impact operational outcomes.
  • Analytical Capabilities: Ability to analyze complex technical information, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions under pressure.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrated aptitude, ability, and willingness to take on new roles and responsibilities as the aviation industry continues to evolve.
  • Presentation Skills: Capacity to prepare and deliver presentations that advance acceptance of proposed solutions to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Client Focus: Ability to connect with internal and external clients effectively, building lasting relationships that support organizational goals.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Prior experience in airline or aerospace Engineering operations

  • Familiarity with aircraft manufacturer manuals and documentation systems

  • Experience with regulatory compliance and audit processes

  • Project management certification or training

  • Experience working with diverse teams in a matrix organization
