We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic Attractions Functional Innovation team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in guiding the creation, establishment, and advancement of cutting-edge data analysis and artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) models that power our world-class attractions. What You'll Do

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer on our team, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and excellence. Here's what you can expect:

• Build Strong Relationships: Foster and develop partnerships with colleagues across departments, providing thought leadership and demonstrating influence by driving initiatives to completion effectively and efficiently.
• Collaborate with Research Teams: Engage with research teams and colleagues to help drive ML strategies, identifying areas where business challenges can be solved creatively through the application of machine learning.
• Lead Technical Initiatives: Lead and work alongside other engineers and data scientists to implement and successfully scale ML solutions that create extraordinary experiences for our visitors while pushing the boundaries of operational excellence.
• Drive Innovation: Lead research and development efforts, proofs of concept, innovation initiatives, and client interactions that result in developing top-tier AI platforms.
• Ensure Operational Excellence: Manage functional support and maintenance of ML-related products and services delivered by the team, ensuring consistent performance and reliability.
• Establish Best Practices: Build standard procedures used in daily operations and work with specialized units to design, plan, and execute large-scale projects in the AI/ML space.
• Productionize ML Solutions: Deploy ML algorithms in predictive analytics, clustering, image recognition, natural language processing (NLP), anomaly detection, and more, evaluating their performance on real-world datasets.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with different teams to achieve goals in improving system performance and overall visitor experience.
• Maintain Code Quality: Coordinate with existing software practices that produce efficient code, including automated testing, continuous integration, code style consistency, and comprehensive code reviews.

Required Qualifications & Skills

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

• Technical Expertise: A minimum of 2+ years of demonstrated mastery in Python programming with experience in predictive modeling using frameworks such as TensorFlow, SparkMLib, PySpark, LightGBM, MXNet, or similar tools.
• Cloud Platform Proficiency: At least 2+ years of expert-level experience with major cloud platforms, particularly AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Software Development Knowledge: Proficiency in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), QA processes, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Design Patterns.
• Data Management Skills: Advanced experience working with both structured and unstructured data—including images, video, text, audio, and more—as well as SQL, relational databases, and NoSQL databases.
• Workflow Management: 2+ years of experience with Apache Airflow or another data workflow management tool.
• Version Control & MLOps: Experience with version control software (such as GitHub and GitLab), Model Operations (MLOps), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Business Acumen: Experience driving discovery processes with partners to identify business requirements and expected outcomes, coupled with strong communication skills and a determination to see tasks through to completion.
• Systems Integration: Strong systems integration architecture skills, with the ability to transform emerging technologies into practical business solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills and experiences would make you an even stronger candidate:

• Experience with containerization technologies, particularly Docker


• Experience with orchestration systems and configuration management tools


• Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes


• Experience with cloud solutions across GCP or other cloud platforms


• Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence


• Experience with Agile development methodologies


• Experience with automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous development practices


• Experience with data visualization and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Plotly, Tableau)


• Experience with audio analysis


• Experience with text analysis and natural language processing

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Programming, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is required.

Preferred: A Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Programming, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field would be advantageous.
