About arenaflex and the Role
Welcome to arenaflex, where we're fundamentally transforming how businesses consume and experience cloud computing infrastructure. As a global leader in scalable, secure, and cost-effective compute solutions, arenaflex provides the backbone for millions of applications powering the modern digital economy. Our Elastic Compute Cloud service sits at the heart of this ecosystem, enabling organizations ranging from ambitious startups to Fortune 500 enterprises to deploy, scale, and manage their computing infrastructure with unprecedented flexibility and reliability.
Within the arenaflex ecosystem, the Customer Capacity Experience (CCX) organization plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the right compute resources are available when and where our customers need them most. This team is the bridge between customer demand and infrastructure fulfillment, responsible for forecasting, planning, guiding, and executing capacity commitments—especially during large, unpredictable scaling events that can define a customer's success or challenge their operations.
We are currently seeking an experienced, customer-obsessed Senior Program Manager to join our EC2 Capacity Customer Experience team. In this role, you will own the end-to-end capacity planning process, from understanding our customers' future compute requirements to delivering on strategic commitments that enable their growth. This is a high-impact position where your work directly influences customer satisfaction, business outcomes, and the overall reliability of arenaflex's global infrastructure.
What You'll Do
As a Senior Program Manager in the Capacity Customer Experience organization, you will be responsible for driving the complete capacity planning lifecycle for internal and external arenaflex customers. This position demands a unique blend of strategic thinking, technical acumen, and exceptional customer engagement skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Capacity Planning Ownership: Lead the entire capacity planning process from initial customer requirements gathering through final hardware delivery and account provisioning. You'll develop high-confidence fulfillment plans that balance customer needs with infrastructure availability.
- Customer Commitment Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for capacity commitments, levying promises directly to customers on behalf of arenaflex and ensuring delivery excellence. You'll translate complex technical capabilities into clear customer value propositions.
- Demand Forecasting: Analyze customer growth projections, usage patterns, and market trends to develop accurate demand forecasts that inform supply chain decisions, data center expansion, and hardware procurement strategies.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate seamlessly with Sales, Account Management, Finance, Engineering, Forecasting, Product Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Data Center Planning teams to deliver unified solutions.
- Process Innovation: Drive continuous improvement initiatives and work with engineering organizations to build new technologies that automate demand planning, enhance prediction accuracy, and streamline customer engagement processes.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify potential capacity shortfalls or delivery risks, implement mitigation strategies, and communicate transparently with customers and senior leadership when expectations need to be reset.
- Strategic Communication: Present capacity plans, program status, and business outcomes to external customers and senior leaders across arenaflex and retail operations with clarity, confidence, and strategic context.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage large datasets to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities. Create innovative metrics to measure business health and customer satisfaction, insisting on high standards in all deliverables.
