Job Description:
  • Salary: $115,000 base + super (pro-rata)
  • Position details: Permanent, part-time (10.5 hrs per week)


The role:

The Trainer and Assessor is responsible for delivering and assessing vocational education and training (VET) courses in accordance with the Standards for RTOs. The role involves engaging students through effective training methods, maintaining compliance in assessment practices, and ensuring learners are job-ready upon completion.

 

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Deliver engaging training across face-to-face, blended, and online environments
  • Conduct assessments and provide constructive feedback in line with compliance requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessment outcomes
  • Develop and update training resources while staying current with industry trends
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and foster a safe, inclusive learning environment
Qualifications:

Skills and Experience

  • Must hold a Diploma in Building and Construction
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience in apprenticeship-based training
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High attention to detail, time management, and LMS/CRM proficiency
Additional Information:
  • Valid Australian working rights & Working with Children's Check (Employee) or willingness to obtain
  • Police Check
  • Willingness to travel to training venues and worksites
  • Participation in ongoing PD and compliance training
