- Role Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive telemetry nursing care on 3rd and 7th floors, covering 20 and 35 beds respectively.
- Manage cardiac-focused post-op patients including open heart, TAVRs, ablations, pacemakers, as well as general telemetry cases such as CHF, sepsis, and stroke recovery.
- Accurately read and interpret telemetry strips twice per shift and document findings according to protocol.
- Administer and titrate cardiac drips including amiodarone, cardizem, dopamine, and dobutamine; heparin titration required, insulin titration training available if needed.
- Collaborate with CNAs and respiratory therapists to optimize patient care.
- Float between telemetry units within the hospital and affiliated sister facilities as needed.
- Participate in a flexible schedule including 7-7 shifts, weekend coverage (5-6 weekends per 6-week period), and holiday shifts as required.
- Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years telemetry nursing experience.
- Post-procedural cardiac care experience (cath lab, ablations, open heart) is essential. PCU or stepdown unit experience highly preferred.
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
- Strong ability to read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips.
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required.
