Koscom Cable Inc. is a U.S.-based telecom construction company operating in 30+ states, specializing in fiber construction, FTTH, MDU, aerial, underground, and
fulfillment projects

We are looking for a Vendor Manager with
hands-on fulfillment experience
— someone who understands field operations, knows how to work with both crew companies and individual technicians, and can build a subcontractor pipeline from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

    Sourcing — Finding & Attracting Subcontractors
  • Actively source qualified telecom subcontractors: both
  • crew companies and individual technicians(1099 / sole proprietors)
  • Build and maintain a structured vendor pipeline by region and scope (drop bury, FTTH installs, MDU, aerial, etc.)
  • Close regional coverage gaps through proactive outreach
    Vendor Management & Performance
  • Maintain ongoing communication with subcontractor partners
  • Monitor performance and coordinate feedback with Operations
  • Support rate negotiations — with both companies and individual technicians
  • Scale high-performing vendors into new markets and scopes
    Compliance & Documentation
  • Collect and track required documentation: W-9, COI, licenses, safety documents
  • Monitor insurance expiration dates and compliance statuses
  • Coordinate NDAs, MSAs, and SOWs with internal teams
    Operational Support
  • Emergency sourcing of crews and technicians when capacity is short
  • Coordinate vendor readiness ahead of upcoming projects
  • Match subcontractor capabilities with specific project requirements
    Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience
  • in vendor management, B2B partnerships, sourcing, or telecom operations
  • Fulfillment experience
  • — understanding of field crew dynamics, technician management, and the pace of fulfillment projects
  • Experience working with
  • both subcontractor companies and individual technicians
  • Experience with the U.S. market
  • Confident in negotiations and business communication
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple regions simultaneously
    Nice to Have
  • Experience in telecom construction, fiber, or infrastructure projects
  • Understanding of OSP / FTTH / MDU / drop bury scopes
  • Experience reviewing COIs and understanding insurance requirements
  • Sourcing experience via LinkedIn, industry boards, referrals, Facebook groups, or similar platforms
    KPIs / Success Metrics
  • Number of activated subcontractors (companies + individual technicians)
  • Reduction in coverage gaps by state
  • Onboarding cycle time
  • Vendor retention rate
  • Compliance accuracy (no expired documentation)
  • Response time on emergency sourcing requests
