Position Overview: Data Analyst II
Step into the focal point of data understanding and investigation as a Data Analyst II at arenaflex. This unique position puts you at the core of our operations, where you'll assume a critical role in unraveling customer behavior through our products. As a Data Analyst II, your essential responsibility will be to research, gather, and analyze customer data, transforming raw concepts into meaningful insights. You'll be the creative mind behind customer-driven dashboards that capture key performance indicators, supporting our product teams in their strategic decision-making process.
Joining us means collaborating with various Data Adventures teams, combining your expertise with theirs to analyze, assess, and provide insights about our customers that drive our business procedures. Your analytical skills won't only shape our products but also plot the direction of our customers' journey. In this role, you'll be a central player in our Data Adventures/Data Enhancement team, working with partners across arenaflex Digital Citizenship, arenaflex Global Tech, and our product teams to support the ethical and responsible use of data and technology.

Key Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst II at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
- Partnering with business and product stakeholders to tackle challenging business problems and identify trends and opportunities
- Applying your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation to see beyond the numbers and provide actionable insights
- Defining and evaluating key performance metrics for new product launches and business initiatives
- Developing data visualizations to monitor and measure the impact of product drives and novel business challenges
- Identifying new switches to help improve key financial data insights and understanding root causes for changes in metrics
- Conducting exploratory data analysis including hypothesis testing, statistical inference, and comprehensive statistical analysis
- Collaborating with data stewards and data engineering teams to gather and process right information from diverse sources
- Working effectively cross-functionally and communicating data and insights to non-technical leadership teams
- Building and maintaining robust data pipelines and ETL processes
- Ensuring data quality and consistency across multiple platforms and systems
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- Analytical Skills: Strong exploratory data analysis abilities with the capacity to make analytical, data-driven recommendations and solutions
- Programming Expertise: Experience with languages used to manipulate data and draw insights from large datasets, including SQL, Python, Presto, and similar tools
- Visualization Skills: Strong storytelling experience with data visualizations in Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms
- Data Quality Tools: Experience with data quality tools such as Google DataPlex, Collibra Data Quality, SAS Data Management, or IBM InfoSphere Data Server
- Testing Experience: Experience with quality testing using Selenium, Cucumber, or Tosca
- ETL Experience: Experience in building multi-step ETL jobs/data pipelines and working with job scheduling systems
- Cloud Platform Experience: Experience processing multi-faceted data on cloud platforms, ideally Google BigQuery and Hive
- Data Modeling: Experience with Data Modeling (E-R) and solid BI concepts
- Statistical Knowledge: Basic understanding of statistics and machine learning models
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in the retail or finance business sectors
- Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships
- Adaptability: Comfortable with shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following skills and experiences would be highly valued:
- Experience with additional data platforms such as Oracle, Teradata, Hive, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics, Snowflake, and similar technologies
- Advanced degree in a related field
- Experience with big data frameworks and distributed computing
- Knowledge of data governance best practices
- Experience in agile methodologies and sprint-based workflows
- Understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements
