About the Role
arenaflex is seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Healthcare Data Management to lead our data monetization initiatives and drive strategic analytics capabilities across the organization. In this strategic leadership role, you will work cross-functionally across multiple business units to identify, develop, and execute data monetization opportunities that deliver measurable value. You will collaborate with senior leadership to establish long-term data strategies while managing the operational capabilities of our Healthcare Strategy team. What You'll Do
As the Director of Healthcare Data Management at arenaflex, you will serve as a strategic leader responsible for discovering and examining data monetization opportunities that advance both our organizational objectives and our partners' needs. Your work will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams across the enterprise, including Pharmacy, Retail, and Field Operations to enhance existing data products and develop new solutions that meet evolving market demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Data Monetization Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional people and groups both external and internal throughout arenaflex, including but not limited to Pharmacy, Retail, and Field Operations to enhance current Data Monetization Products, and growth, needs, strategies, and support various division initiatives.
- Governance Excellence: Establish continuous improvement of data governance and management strategies across the organization, collaborating with different lines of business to strengthen Data Monetization products and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Contract Management: Provide the Retail Strategy team contract management strategies and analytics to ensure implementation and management of the enterprise terms to include core analytics related to pharmaceutical manufacturer's service agreements.
- Client Partnership: Support business relationships with existing and new Data product/offerings customers by serving as a Data Subject Matter Expert and collaborating with various internal teams including IT, Purchasing, National Account Management, and Specialty Pharmacy.
- Regulatory Compliance: Participate in and/or contribute to regulatory or contractual audits with data analysis as a Subject Matter Expert, ensuring all data practices meet required standards.
- Contract Development: Participate in RFP responses and Statements of Work (SOW) for new contracts as a Subject Matter Expert, driving new business opportunities.
- Matrix Leadership: Work in a matrix environment to share responsibility for pharmaceutical manufacturer relationships with Purchasing, National Account Management, and Specialty Pharmacy, as well as Payer and Health System Partners on Data Monetization and related contractual needs.
- P&L Management: Manage channel segment business and profitability effectively, ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong business relationships while communicating arenaflex needs concerning pharmaceuticals, trade, specialty, application/product development, account management, and clinical services.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Accountable for a cross-functional leadership role across arenaflex to create line of sight and synergies including but not limited to Pharmacy Services, Store Operations, and Specialty.
- New Business Development: Support new business development by providing program design and method knowledge to create proposals for new offerings as well as reporting/analytical capabilities.
- Project Leadership: Coordinate and control activities, plans, and programs in areas of responsibility, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Data Initiative Advisory: Advise on various Data Monetization projects and initiatives (current or future) to ensure that any data related changes and dependencies are identified, communicated, documented, and managed to ensure adherence with the contractual needs and Enterprise Data Governance established standards.
- Team Development: Coach, mentor and develop personnel through orientation, training, and performance management programs to build worker morale, motivation and loyalty.
- Analytics Delivery: Lead delivery and support of existing and new Analytics products including but not limited to Inroads in collaboration with external vendors to provide data and insights to Pharma, Payer, and Health System partners.
- IT Partnership: Define and partner closely with IT team to develop and monitor metrics that impacts current contractual Data delivery services and analytics products.
- Compliance Management: Operate within organization guidelines with respect to policies, programs, procedures, budgets, and relevant laws. Ensure the development and implementation of authorized manufacturer partners offerings are consistent with overall strategy.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Data Science, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in implementation of programs of financial or operational importance in a manufacturer or healthcare services environment
- At least 4 years of experience with the design, documentation, and implementation of service programs of financial or operational importance
- At least 3 years of experience working with multiple disciplines, defining and gaining concurrence/accountabilities of project activities within a large organization
- Experience collaborating with both internal and external sources to develop strategies that meet department and organization needs within budget and established timelines
- Experience identifying service/operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to solve problems
- Project management experience (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives)
- Experience in program management and analytics of manufacturer programs for Specialty Pharmacy services
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace
- At least 3 years of direct management, indirect management and/or cross-functional team management experience
- Willingness to travel up to/at least 20% of the time for business purposes (within country and out of country)
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MBA, MHA, or related advanced degree)
- Experience in retail pharmacy or healthcare data analytics
- Knowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare privacy regulations
- Experience with data visualization tools and platforms
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry dynamics
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and analytics solutions
