About the Role: Summer 2024 Global Content Analytics & Marketplace Research Intern
We are excited to announce an incredible opportunity for university students to join arenaflex as a Summer 2024 Intern within our Content Operations & Innovation organization. This position offers real-world experience in global marketplace analysis, transactional platform optimization, and business analytics — skills that will launch your career in the entertainment and technology industries.
As an intern on our team, you will contribute to meaningful projects that directly impact how content reaches our global audience. You will work alongside experienced professionals, receive mentorship, and participate in a comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the skills needed for future success in enterprise analytics, regardless of your chosen domain.

What You'll Do
As a valuable member of our Content Analytics team, your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct Comprehensive Marketplace Analysis: Evaluate existing transactional and digital marketplaces to identify optimization opportunities and best practices that can be implemented across our global platform.
- Research Industry Trends: Stay ahead of the curve by analyzing competitive landscapes, emerging technologies, and shifting consumer behaviors in international entertainment markets.
- Provide Strategic Insights: Deliver data-driven recommendations based on your marketplace research to inform strategic decision-making at the executive level.
- Collaborate on Pricing Strategies: Work alongside senior team members to develop and refine competitive pricing models that balance member value with business sustainability.
- Build Financial Models: Contribute to the development of financial models that evaluate business performance and assess potential scenarios for growth and expansion.
- Support Forecasting & Budgeting: Assist in creating forecasts and budgets that drive financial planning efforts across the organization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across departments to gain a holistic understanding of our business and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Present Findings: Participate in meetings and presentations where you will share your insights, recommendations, and project outcomes with stakeholders across the organization.
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking candidates who bring curiosity, dedication, and a growth mindset to our team. The ideal candidate will be:
- Currently enrolled in a university program (undergraduate or graduate level) with a focus on business, economics, data science, finance, or a related field
- Located in Canada and able to work during the summer of 2024 (relocation assistance may be provided for hybrid arrangements)
- Internally motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently
- Collaborative and comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and judgment skills
- Curious about learning new technologies, workflows, and industry best practices
- Committed to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion when handling sensitive information
Required Qualifications
- Interest in working within the entertainment, media, or technology industries
- Interest in global marketplace analysis and platform economics (buyer/seller dynamics)
- Proficiency with computer systems and common software programs, including:
- Google Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with data analysis, market research, or business analytics
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) or statistical software
- Understanding of digital streaming platforms and subscription business models
- Coursework or projects related to international business, economics, or finance
- Experience presenting research findings to small groups or teams
