Job Summary: As an Online ELL Instructor, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional educational experiences to our students, while promoting academic excellence, social growth, and emotional well-being. Your expertise in language acquisition and instructional design will enable you to develop and deliver engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and collaborate with colleagues to drive student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and teach online ELL courses to students in grades K-12, using a variety of instructional strategies and technologies
- Provide individualized support and feedback to students, while maintaining accurate records of student progress and achievement
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement curriculum, instructional materials, and assessments that meet state and federal standards
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, using a range of digital tools and platforms
- Participate in professional development opportunities, to stay current with best practices in online education and language instruction
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, TESOL, or a related field, with a minimum of one year of teaching experience
- Appropriate state teaching certification, with endorsements in NS, YL, or YA-YT
- Residency in Michigan, with the ability to work from a home office or other remote location
- Strong knowledge of language acquisition principles, instructional design, and online education platforms
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
