Position Overview: Senior Data Analyst
As a Senior Data Analyst at arenaflex, you'll be more than just a number cruncher—you'll be a strategic partner in driving business decisions. You'll work closely with cross-functional business partners to shape our analytics strategy, leveraging predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and metric evaluation to address critical business priorities.
This role offers the unique opportunity to own and manage an analytics workstream, leading a team of analysts and data scientists in building end-to-end analytical products. You'll serve as a thought leader, using your expertise in algorithms and predictive models to recommend approaches, investigate issues, detect patterns, and propose innovative solutions that directly impact our ability to serve customers better.
Key Responsibilities
- Analytics Strategy Development: Collaborate with business partners to form comprehensive analytics strategies that address key business priorities through predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and metric evaluation. Serve as a thought leader in translating business needs into analytical solutions.
- Workstream Leadership: Own and manage analytics workstreams, leading and mentoring other analysts and data scientists to build complete analytical products from conception to delivery.
- Predictive Modeling & Analysis: Apply strong knowledge of algorithms and predictive models to recommend approaches, investigate complex problems, detect hidden patterns, and propose data-driven solutions that drive business growth.
- Advanced Statistical Analysis: Perform analyses of both structured and unstructured data to solve multiple and complex business problems using advanced statistical techniques, mathematical analyses, and deep knowledge of the healthcare industry.
- Presentation & Consultation: Develop and participate in presentations and consultations to present analytical findings and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex results into actionable business insights.
- Programming & Data Exploration: Use robust programming skills to explore, examine, and interpret large volumes of data in various forms, ensuring data integrity and accuracy in all analytical outputs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product teams, marketing, operations, and executive leadership to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements and innovations.
Essential Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of relevant analytical experience in a professional setting.
- Programming Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in programming using R or Python, with the ability to write efficient, maintainable code.
- Database Expertise: Strong experience with SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
