Position Overview
We are currently seeking an information-driven, meticulous Manager, Analytics to lead our paid media analysis capabilities. In this critical role, you will be responsible for surfacing data-driven strategic opportunities for our Executive Leadership team, with a primary focus on optimizing our paid media spend globally. As a Manager, Analytics at arenaflex, you will work closely with marketing teams to identify ways to improve the efficiencies of our paid media spend. You will develop comprehensive reporting and analyses that frame and drive decisions, establish KPIs and scorecards to track performance progress, and play a pivotal role in supporting strategic decision-making through custom reporting and insights that inform our paid media strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Comprehensive Reporting and Insights: Create and present detailed reporting and insights in the area of paid media, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and actionable recommendations for stakeholders at all levels.
- Lead Analysis and BI Development: Plan, build, and lead the development of analysis, business intelligence, and data science initiatives aimed at optimizing paid media performance and improving marketing efficiencies across all channels.
- Collaborate with Data Science Teams: Work alongside paid media data science groups and marketing teams on implementing sophisticated media mix models to maximize ROI and campaign effectiveness.
- Conduct Ad-Hoc Investigation: Perform specialized investigation through database querying, followed by insightful interpretation of results and the reporting and communication of recommendations that drive immediate action.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as a collaborative partner with marketing, finance, and data product teams to address complex business challenges and track marketing and product performance using a data-driven approach.
- Technical Reporting and Maintenance: Leverage Structured Query Language (SQL), MicroStrategy, Tableau, Excel, and other reporting tools to create and maintain scheduled and ad-hoc reports that meet business requirements.
- Identify Business Issues and Root Causes: Analyze data to identify business issues and conduct deep-dive investigations to perform root cause analysis, providing comprehensive findings and recommendations.
- Data Synthesis and Insight Generation: Collaborate with partners to utilize data from multiple sources, including internal data from Perceptible and arenaflex systems, as well as external data from market research and advertising agencies, to address complex business challenges by delivering actionable insights.
- Customer Behavior Analysis: Brainstorm and run analyses that generate insights on customer behavior and customer needs to support the continuous development and improvement of our value proposition.
Essential Qualifications
- Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience in the field of Business Intelligence, Analysis, or Consulting in an e-commerce environment or related industry. Candidates should have a proven track record of delivering data-driven insights that have positively impacted business outcomes.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced SQL experience is required. You must be comfortable writing complex queries, optimizing database performance, and working with large datasets to extract meaningful business intelligence.
- Data Visualization Expertise: Advanced proficiency in at least one industry-leading analysis and statistics visualization tool such as Tableau, QuickSight, or PowerBI. Experience creating compelling visual narratives from complex data sets is essential.
- Excel Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel with a demonstrated history of using advanced functions, pivot tables, VBA, and data analysis features to drive business insights.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business, Economics, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or other related field from an accredited institution.

- Industry Experience: Experience with subscription, membership-based, or media content organizations is highly desirable and will be considered a significant asset.
- Innovation Mindset: Experience with and/or interest in learning more on cutting-edge data science approaches, including machine learning, predictive analytics, and automation techniques.
- Programming Knowledge: Working knowledge of Python is preferred. Additionally, familiarity with other programming languages such as Java or C#, or statistical programming languages like R or SAS, is beneficial.
- Analytics Platform Experience: Knowledge of Adobe Analytics or similar digital analytics platforms is a plus.
