What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities
As an integral part of the arenaflex team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering engaging art lessons that inspire creativity and foster a love for the arts in young children. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Lesson Planning and Implementation: Design and deliver age-appropriate art lessons for children in the 5-12 age range, focusing on beginner-level techniques that are both educational and enjoyable. Your lessons should be creative, interactive, and tailored to meet the developmental needs of each child.
- Teaching Art Techniques: Provide clear, step-by-step instructions on various art techniques including drawing, painting, coloring, and other creative methods. Introduce children to different art styles, materials, and tools in a safe and supportive manner.
- Creating a Positive Learning Environment: Foster an inclusive, welcoming, and nurturing classroom atmosphere where every child feels valued, encouraged, and motivated to express themselves creatively. Ensure all students have equal opportunities to participate and succeed.
- Student Safety and Well-being: Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during art sessions. Maintain proper supervision at all times and adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines established by arenaflex.
- Classroom Management: Effectively manage classroom dynamics, materials, and resources to ensure smooth and productive sessions. Maintain organization and cleanliness of art supplies and work areas.
- Progress Assessment: Observe and evaluate children's artistic progress, providing constructive and positive feedback to help them improve their skills and build confidence.
- Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with parents, school staff, and arenaflex management regarding program activities, student progress, and any concerns or questions.
- Participation in Team Activities: Collaborate with other instructors and staff to support overall program operations and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and special events as required.
