[Remote] Field Service Technician I Solar Traveler

The Field Service Technician I will assist senior Field Service Technicians with operating and maintaining utility scale solar facilities, focusing on preventative and corrective maintenance of on-site assets such as solar panels and power inverters.

Responsibilities

• Takes direction from senior site personnel
• Assists with troubleshooting of AC and DC power systems
• Conducts preventative maintenance on AC and DC power systems
• Uses hand tools effectively
• Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Manages site inventory
• Follows site safety plan and safe work practices
• Interfaces with project stakeholders (owners, equipment manufacturers, etc.)
• Interfaces with project subcontractors
• Represents RES in professional manner to project stakeholders
• Operates RES company vehicles, including trucks, in accordance with state and federal laws and RES policies
• Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected
• Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures
• Rotating on-call schedule for emergency response
• Presets, supports, and leads by example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude
• Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action
• Ensures that safety is the most important function, follows safe practices while working
• Reinforces safe behaviors and eliminates 'at risk' behaviors
• Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly
• Ensures Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) occurs before scopes of work commence
• Adheres to and understands standard operating procedures
• Receives job- and task-specific training prior to work commencing

Skills

• High school/GED General Education required
• 1+ years or more Related maintenance experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of: Electrical power systems
• Basic knowledge of: Drawings
• Basic knowledge of: Basic circuit theory
• Basic knowledge of: OSHA regulations
• Basic knowledge of: Hand tools
• Ability to reside with a maximum commuting distance of 60 miles from the work site to ensure availability for on-site responsibilities
• Ability to work a rotating on-call schedule for emergency response
• Functional Competencies Include: Collaboration, Attention to Detail, Ethics & Integrity, Communication and Prioritization
• Domestic travel 76-100% required
• Valid Driver's License required
