    Required Skills and Experience:
  • 3+ years of AutoCAD experience within the telecom, utilities, or civil design industry.

  • Demonstrated experience with utility relocation projects, Trimble Business Center (TBC) and Point Cloud data workflows.
  • Understanding of OSP and fiber network design principles, including aerial and underground fiber routing.
  • Familiarity with survey data, coordinate systems, and GIS integration.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a collaborative design team.
    Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of TXDOT and municipal permitting standards.
  • Familiarity with fiber design software (e.g., 3GIS, ArcGIS, OSPInsight).
    Job Duties:
  • Import, register, and process Point Cloud data from Trimble scanners and other field-survey sources.
  • Use Trimble Business Center to process survey and GPS data for telecom project design—including pole data, ROW, and utility coordination.
  • Develop detailed OSP construction drawings and base maps in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Convert field survey data, markups, and redlines into accurate CAD designs for fiber placement, conduit routing, road moves, and relocations.
  • Ensure compliance with client CAD standards, telecom permitting requirements, and company QA/QC procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Field Engineers, and Designers to ensure design accuracy and consistency across projects.
  • Maintain organized CAD files, layer standards, and digital documentation for multiple concurrent jobs.
